Jordan = Ultimate Competitor and his attitude towards his teamates sometimes is nothing more than an aggravated craving to WIN...thats what makes champions, like someone said you dont win by being nice

Larry Bird had it also. Jordan's not buddy buddy with his teammates because he demands perfection. He probably screams at you if you miss a wide open layup in practice or slacks off on a defensive rotation.

Obviously, if you're the 9th man on an NBA team, you're gonna be better friends with someone like Stephen Jackson, who takse you to strip clubs, shows up to practice lates, probably loans you his porn, then someone like Jordan or Bird, who would give you the devil eye if you are too slow to a loose ball or didn't box out your man.

These threads are stupid, Jordan was overly competitive, EVERYONE knows this. It's what makes him great, he wanted to kill everyone on the court. He wouldn't be the greatest if he had a lazier attitude like Shaq. What do these threads prove? That Jordan wasn't buddy buddy with his teammates? What does tha thave to do with basketball?

Robert De Niro is a very private person, he doesn't go out much, after the director yells cut he jsut goes back to his trailer and studies his lines. So is he somehow not as nice a person as say, Paris Hilton? She's out with everyone and partying every night.

And this will only turn into a Kobe thread if Kobe fans start jumping on the poster's bandwagon and make claims like "Yeah dude Jordan is a jerk man, he's not nice to Kwame Brown like kobe is".

Meaning Kobe fans would turn this into a Kobe thread, not jordan fans, not anyone else.

Nice Post, right on the mark.

Great Post dude. 100% agree with everything.

If Kobe fans do come in here and rip jordan, then they dont know sh!t about either player. Kobe has that same attitude towards winning and has been in multiple scuffles with teamates

I'm sure Jordan demands perfection but does he have to destroy their confidence by calling them names like f@g? If one of his Guard teammates isn't confident of attacking the basket Jordan can yell at them by saying something like "C'mon man! You can do better than that. I know you can take that s*** to the hole, man" Not something like "Go attack the basket you pu$$y ass f@g!"

Part of this is true. Tex said that Pip was liked alot more than MJ among his teamates, and they could relate to him more..thats why Pip was crucial but lets not get ahead of ourselves...MJ was the undisputed leader

If Kwame was mentally tougher he would have worked on his game instead of sulked.

Kwame is a boy playing a man's sport and it's the reason he'll never live up to the amazing athletic potential he has.

Jordan was an ******* and shouldn't have treated Kwame that way, but Kwame never should have came out right after high-school.

If Kwame has become a bust all because MJ called him a f@g, MJ was right. He is a f@g.

So far in this thread you have not given any substantiated evidence to show that Jordan was widely disliked by his teammates.

There are going to be disputes on EVERY team, but you're making the claim that all of his teammates disliked him, he treated them all like shyt, etc. which you have done NOTHING to prove.

In other words, you're just full of shyt. You dislike Michael Jordan and you THINK he was a bad teammate, leader or whatever so you're going to make this thread as if it's FACT.

I remember him having beef with Will Perdue, I think he had a fight with Steve Kerr and of course called Kwame names. His Wizards teammates was distant to him too. What I also hated about Jordan is that he was cocky. There are a lot of Jordan groupies who still like him even though he was a a$$hole. Shaq's attitude is worse than Jordan's. He's lazy, acts like the GM of his team and trades his teammates if he doesn't like what he sees. Why? Why do you people like superstars who like to treat their teammates like dirt and destroy their confidence?
i've heard very good things about jordan as a friend / teammate from bj armstrong, john paxson, ron harper, scottie pippen, bill wennington, steve kerr (despite getting punched in the eye), toni kukoc, and probably others. all after he retired and wasn't in a place of power over them. could he be domineering and overbearing? no doubt. horance grant hated him (though he admired his game) and cartwright was never friendly with him. but he was also charismatic, funny, and the type of guy who led by example and never asked anyone to put forth more effort than he would. he's also the type who would stick up for his teammates when they would get bullied and instill ultimate confidence in them. when he went nose to nose with x-man that was to defend pippen, not for his own ego. i think jordan's worst aspect as a teammate was his tendency to play rookies out of the league in practice and destroy their confidence before they even made the team. he did it to weed out the weak ones, but you don't know how many talented players he destroyed before they built the confidence to be their best.

Yeah I can believe this in emotional leadership. But ont the floor Jordan was the leader when it came to straight basketball. He wasn't a$$hole off the court much. But on the court he was the most determined player to play the game, and if he thought you weren't giving 110% he'd chew you out for it. But guys learned more from him than from anyone else they played with, I'm sure.
