Default In the last two games Miami allowed 112 & 105 points to Dallas...

In the entire 2011 postseason, Miami allowed 100+ points in only 3 games out of 21, Game 1 vs Chicago was the other game (although the Bulls only shot 44% in that game). What happened to Miami's defense in game 5 & 6 vs Dallas.

Dallas started hitting 3's, Barea went balls out, Terry found his mojo, and Miami stopped getting stops.

Heat defense is very overrated. Not even a top 20 defense of the last decade

I don't think the Heat realized how much getting Lebron to the FT line (significantly) more would have helped their team control the tempo. It's a travesty how unassuming he was at getting free points. When he gets to the line 8-10 times in one game, it helps the Heat get into a defensive set and they're not battling a Barea or Terry fast break-esque play as often. Sometimes what you do on the offensive end can have an impact on defense. Feel like if Lebron had seen himself producing, getting the ball in the basket, his defensive intensity would have picked up. Kind of goes for every team actually.

Jason Kidd said The heat scramble and over help so much he believed if they stayed disciplined with the ball movement they would wear the team out throughout the game.

MIA started over thinking on defense because of DAL ball movement...Incredible how consistent DAL is passing the ball. Chicago tried but not quite as disciplined, BOS had the blue print as well but KG ran out of gas and Rondo ineffective.

but but but....Heat plays TEAM DEFENSE!! it's the best type of defense there is! Mavs have NO CHANCE! Heat will win in 5.
