Default CJ Watson + 2 picks for Anthony Morrow and 27th pick.

According to a reliable source is currently being discussed. Morrow is a 2 guard that can shoot the 3 and also step up and be deadly from mid range. From what I understand he's a lackluster defender and can't create too much. He's like a super Korver. A 45% 3pt shooter on high volume..

Thoughts?

edit: The two picks we'd be giving up are our 28th and 30th, I believe.

the difference is he shoots more and is about as efficient

I wouldn't trade both picks but one....sure.

I'd do it and in my opinion the Bulls would definately be getting the better of the deal.

But I don't see why the Nets would do this.

They have Deron Williams at the Point and Jordan Farmar as his backup.

Why would they want to add a combo guard in Watson to that team? Unless they think Watson is a better player than Morrow.

Morrow is a terrific shooter and a terrible defender. Hopefully if it happens he can fit into our team defense and not be a huge liability defensively because he would surely help us offensively.

From what I hear they want to dump salary. CJ is on the last year of his deal and would free up instant cap space for 2012. Not such a crazy thought that NJ wants to free up cap space to snag Dwight.

I'd do it. We would be getting the 27th pick and Morrow?

A guy like Selby could fall into our lap at 27 to be the backup PG.

I'd would rather have a more explosive 2 guard, but Morrow is at least someone who can fill it up from the outside.

Imagine having Morrow and Korver in the corners with Rose. Stretch that defense.

New Jersey would have about 14 mil cap space, plus another 4 Mil if they don't pick up their option on Brook Lopez.
And it's not like Morrow has a huge contract and they would have 3 pgs and one less scorer/shooter, it just doesn't make sense IMO.

I just think that there are much better options through free agency and we wouldn't have to give anything up.

Yeah I'd rather go after someone in free agency or trade just one pick not two

It's essentially CJ and a pick for Morrow. Considering how we could replace CJ with that 27th pick, I'd do it. BUT, I wouldn't start Morrow. This would be one of the minor moves I'd make.
