Yes, but they were also very young in 1990. Actually I am not even sure they were all in the starting XI.
That team would probably have been a more serious contender at USA 1994 (those stars would all have been 25-29)... if something bigger hadn't happened in the meantime...

Crazy how he's only 23 yet played professionally in 2004...

The worst part is that he's hardly improved in the last 5 years. He's got a terrible attitude, poor work ethic, and still has sense of entitlement despite failing to impress on every team he's been on. He must have some incredible agents to keep landing the gigs he does.

I was thinking the same thing. They wouldn't be as good as Spain, Germany, Italy, etc. currently are.

Big game vs. Mexico today for the US. Mexico will be the heavy favorites since they're playing in the Azteca in front of 105,000 fans and against an injury depleted US team. A draw would be a great result for the US.

two big games tonight montenegro-england and france-spain

england and spain are both currently 2nd in their groups and they need a win badly... if both of them end up 2nd in their groups a playoff draw of england-spain would be possible.. i would laugh my ass off if that happens

Man, after the strong Euro qualifying campaign, Armenia has been atrocious thus far. Coach needs to go. He has done all he can with this team.

Pedro scores the first goal against France. Now they'll have to open up that catenaccio they were trying to pull off.
