argentina is going to brazil with a 2-5 win at paraguay

they are playing very well and so is brazil who beat portugal 3-1 ( neymar again was a standout )
brazil-argentina final at brazil would be too good to be true

Yeah, it's all but a formality at this point. You guys will probably put 4 or 5 past us. This past year, Klinsmann has hasn't believed in playing defensively in friendlies no matter the opponent. He doesn't care if we lose as long as we work out kinks and he tries out lineups hence the reason we got blown out by Belgium and Brazil rather than losing by a more narrow margin. The only place we can trouble Spain is on set pieces.

Therefore it is our job to shit on them and destroy them everytime our teams play, so that Mexshitco starts to learn its place.

DOSACERO

Pretty much this. We're also the two most dominant teams in the region and our players hate each other. Think Croatia-Serbia, Argentina-Brazil, Turkey-Greece, this is no different.

Not to mention that a lot of their most vocal fans are born and raised in America yet hate the US Soccer team and root for their parent's country. They also think they're entitled to any American player of Mexican heritage (similar to Turkey with German players). They also have one of the dumbest fan bases and most unlikable teams I've seen.

Man some of you U.S. homers are sounding just as dumb as the Mexico fans you talk sh*t about.

Do we have any people that are not bias towards the US or against them to actually assess them as the team they really are?

They're good right now but let's not get giddy about who they have and have not beaten. That 12 game "winning" streak should come with an asterisk. Besides the WCQ matches, they have yet to see a team's 'A' squad for a full 90 mins. And hell, even their WCQ haven't been as impressive as you may think. Barely beating Honduras in Portland/Seattle (can't or dont care to remember) without Honduras playing without half it's starting XI? Crushed in Costa Rica. A miracle in Jamaica.

Don't get so giddy over a home win against a reeling Mexico. It's not that big of a deal. You haven't really done more then Mexico in the last decade of soccer so please stop talking crap. At least we know when push comes to shove, Mexico can at least hang with the big boys of International soccer when it matters where as the US can barely muster competitive games except for their short game and a half mirage at the Confed Cup in '09.

As a Honduran who yes, does live in the US, at least I don't feel the need to talk about crap about the fellow teams in the CONCACAF because we've done as much as you and the Mexicans recently.

Eh, US the past decade has the advantage over Mexico in the head to head series.

And what exactly has Mexico done on the international stage that has blown away the US? Losing in the group stages of the 2010 WC, losing in the fist knockout round in the 2006 WC, and losing to the US team in the kockout rounds in the 2002 WC? USA hasn't done much better but they achieved the same amount of success(and probably more)

Mexico is by far the most overrated footballing nation in the world. For a country with that population and with the sport being the dominant sport they should be doing alot better. Maybe a large part of the blame is from the media hyping out the country of being some great footballing nation but in reality they aren't even better than a country like Greece in the sport.

It's funny because it the US everyone the average american thinks Mexico is some godlike nation when it comes to the sport but we know that they can't even beat the USMNT.

BTW, no one brought up Honduras and no one gives a shit about your irrelevant country.

lol, centries trying to bring their country into the conversation. You talk about miracle wins yet Honduras' win in SPS was because of a ridiculous bicycle kick. Spare us the alphabet soup, you can only play the players that are put on the field against you and we've beaten you twice since then including a 3-1 romp at the Gold Cup.

Just say thank you for Andy Najar and Roger Espinoza because if it wasn't for the MLS, your national team would be 10x worse.

Basically Mexico's "success" was their rise in rankings based to a streak like we are having now. So people want to laud on Mexico's success, but downplay the US, when it's the same.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but this is the first US team to me that feels like a team that can win games by playing well in the WC, not just flying by the seat of their pants. They can score. That covers up a lot of flaws.

Honduras has gotten out of the group stage in the World cup? Honduras has won a gold cup?

Mexico hangs with the big boys of international soccer? Since when buddy? Are you on drugs?

Where were you born in Honduras?

Pretty much but USA's streak gets ignored over a streak by Mexico because we aren't considered a footballing nation. We have a deeper and more talented squad and that's not being biased at all.

I'd blame the media in Mexico and US over hyping the shit out of the Mexican squad. Dumb sports analysts in the US who never watched the game think Mexico is some footballing giant.

The funniest thing was this time last year, the Mexican media and their fans were saying that they need to join CONMEBOL and there was no challenge for them to play CONCACAF anymore.

Who cares about head to head series. And Mexico got out of the group stages in 2006 and 2010. Pretty comfortably if I may say so. And like the US, they lost in the first round of the knockout stage. Except to Argentina twice, where as US lost in 2010 to Ghana and didn't get out of the Group Stage in 2006.

And when I say to you people that Mexico has performed better on the internaitonal stage I mean that when they play top tier international teams in matches that actually count (not friendlies) they play better then the US. The US has two impressive performances in 09 and not many since/before. They luckily tied England on a lucky goal. They struggled against Algeria til the end. They did pretty bad in 06. Where as Mexico at least was competitive this year in the Confeds. They beat France in 10. Even in the 05 confeds cup they were more pretty competitive.
