If Casey can get Andrea to play good D, and rebound, then mission accomplishment.
In all seriousness, this is a big upgrade over Triano. We were never going to get a big name coach. I wouldn't have minded Frank as i think he's more a tougher/task master type coach (plus he's had more success as a head coach), but I could be wrong. Not sure what Casey's rep was during his brief stint as a head coach in Minny.
If Casey can get this team to play D, and maximize their potential, I'll be happy. I'd be even more happy if we get rid of Andrea, but that's not going to happen any time soon.
Casey has his work cut out for him. This is going to be a long rebuilding process. Perhaps it's length will be cut a short a bit with a good draft night. I wouldn't be surprised to see us make a trade.
I'm more than satisfied with this move, it's a good one. Done way later than it should've been, but the right move nonetheless. New fresh face, defensive minded coach, proven winner. But I also agree with what Bada Bing said earlier in this thread. You can bring toughness and a defensive mindset to the team to a certain extent, but you also need the personnel to do it. So hopefully there will be some major moves (in terms of player movement) yet to be made in the off-season.
