And there were plenty of more viable options last year then Hayward.

...and that would be? Aldrich hasn't panned out at all yet when a lot of people here wanted a center. Hayward was proving that he should be a starter on our team at the end of the year, not sure what your point is. Paul George and Xavier Henry basically play the same position as Hayward.

There are definitely a lot of jazz fans that really want Jimmer, but for every one, there is another that vehemently does not want him, and one that doesn't care. so in the end, there are more that either don't care or don't want him. I wouldn't doubt there are more NYK fans that want him than Jazz fans. I am indifferent, I feel that this is a draft where you can take a chance on a specialist. I wouldn't mind him at 12.

My point is the Jazz value white players more than other teams in the league.

Who exactly has showed any more potential than Hayward?

Paul George maybe, but I don't regret the Hayward pick at all right now, guy was playing shut down defense on Kobe Bryant in April for a lot of the game, scored 34 points against Denver at the end of the year, was shooting the ball lights out.

At the time? There were certainly prospects higher on the board.

In hindsight? I think it was a good pick.

Seriously the Jimmer-Gordon backcourt would have drawn how many fans ?

I think I'll just look at the history of the Jazz roster compared to other teams in the league... but thanks for the insult.

that is 100% subjective. The fact that there were others that looked more promising at the time and the Jazz didn't take them means they did their homework. I didn't like the pick at the time either, but now I have to admit they obviously had a lot more information than I did, or the pathetic pundits that are basically guessing with limited info.

In that case, I look forward to us getting Donatas Motiejunas with the 12th pick!

Hopefully this means that Utah takes Knight at #3 and Kanter falls to the Raptors!

fine look at the roster then. look at whatever the hell you want and imagine this scenario; If the Jazz could pick in the draft/trade for say, Birdman or maybe Knight coming into the draft... who do they take? The players Utah likes has nothing to do with skin color, but they highly value charachter and basketball / overall IQ. Get over it.
