Default Russell Westbrook in a few years vs prime Stephon Marbury

How do you think Russell Westbrook in his prime will compare to Stephon Marbury when Marbury was at his best?

After the rep Westbrook was getting in the playoffs it could be a fair comparison.

I like the comparison really. Westbrook should end up better though cuz he doesn't seem like he will be a total nut job.

Until the playoffs no one really put much into Westbrook being like that.

But after the Green trade, and with teams really denying KD the ball, too much of the offense was Russell holding the ball, waiting for KD to get open, and if he didn't Russ just went at the hoop.

The problem was Russell didn't act like those shots he were forced to take counted, so he took all his normal shots too.

I think he'll learn from it and be fine. First, in the regular season teams won't be able to deny KD the ball as easily since they'll get called for it unlike in the postseason. Second, I imagine Harden will be on the floor as a starter meaning there's a 3rd option again when Russ is out there. And most importantly, I think the team will work with him and he'll work to understand what he could have done better.

Remember, Russ is by all accounts a great teammate, hard worker, well liked, part of the OKC circle of kids that all hang out, etc.. It's not Starbury 2.0
