Doug Collins rocks an awesome stache for the halftime horse game between Bingo Smith and him on NBA on CBS.

Kinda cool...

Well, when you compare this to the 2009 and 2010 one, it is actually amazing.

Collins and Bingo were shooting runners, fade aways, reverse lay ups, and floaters. Durant and them (mostly Durant, since he was the one winning and usually was the one starting each round and choosing what shot to take) would just take jump shot after jump shot after jump shot.

Also, unless CBS edited the Collins vs Bingo tape, Collins and Bingo had a much faster pace than the 2009 and 2010 competitions which had no energy at all and were ridiculously slow in between shots.

Thanks for the break down.

Not sure to be honest...

It was something new at the time, so I think it was probably a free showing, perhaps ?

This was a competition where lots of players took part. Some of them weren't really skilled HORSE competitors. Collins was a better player than Bingo and better at making tough shots, but Bingo had better range. Neither was "elite".
The 2 best guys in this competition were Maravich and Westphal and it's a shame Pistol got injured and the anticipated matchup between them never happened.

I played H-O-R-S-E with Dougie C right about that same time, when he was rockin' that same stache.

Did about as well as Bingo Smith.

Just watched. Hell, didn't remember Bingo winning! So, I DID NOT do as well as Bingo Smith.
