he is probably the only player in the NBA that is playing through pain and injuries after such a short 82 game season.

Not sure this would count as an example of Bryant hyping up an injury.

It was common knowledge that AI didn't lift weights in his years in Philly. He had to be fined in order to attend even the mandatory sessions that happened in season.

SLAM magazine ran a few stories throughout the years talking about how AI didnt really strength train and would rather "save himself for the game"

in fact I remember one story about a strength trainer trying to work with AI....after 10 minutes AI said he had to use the restroom.....30 minutes later AI still wasn't back.......

they found him(AI) hiding out eating Jack in the Box tacos..sipping on crown and coke.

this kinda made AI's legend...but his lack of strength and conditioning in the offseason def hurt him as he aged...

but hey..Jack in the Box tacos are good....and we just talkin bout practice anyways..

weight lifting helps to reduce injuries and the strain that injuries have on your body. If he was better conditioned throughout his career I think he could have played longer at a high level.

serious??....Strength training and conditioning help your body heal /prevent injury's....

maintaining a consistent regimen will help you as you age.....

AI was a lightweight very flexible person naturally...this helped him play and prevent injury's....as he aged he lost much of that with poor work ethic and bad conditioning habits....main reason why he fell so hard and so fast.

Damn ppl are acting like no one else has ever gotten PRP treatments. Kenyon got it a year ago, Tiger Woods did it and Hines Ward I think got it.

Im not saying it's crazy but they are susposed to be a little different. No one knows exactly what treatment Kobe got.

Bryant also visited the Bayer 04 soccer club’s new rehab center in early June to try out whole body cryotherapy, sitting in a chamber that dropped to minus-166 degrees Fahrenheit.

The goal is for the body to fight inflammation and feel invigorated by the process, which is somewhat like a fuller scale ice bath — and the device is currently not available in the United States.
