Not sure this would count as an example of Bryant hyping up an injury.

He asked for an interview where Kobe talked about his injuries.

I wouldn't say that.He was still playing 82 games,41.8 minutes,and producing 26.4 ppg, 7.1 apg, 2 spg next to Melo at 32 years old.

He played 11 seasons more than 40 minutes. Also one season almost 40. That's amazing for 6'0 & 165 pound guy.

Pistons pretty much f.ked Iverson.

Iverson had most heart when it comes to play with injuries. Jerry West & Jordan also had that spirit.

Iverson in 2001 playoffs had these injuries:

truthfully, that play sums up Kobe Bryant's career. Just going for it and not fearing failure. With his knee in that condition there is a huge chance that he gets mashed HARD. He didnt go up for the foul or back away...he went for it! Not many other superstars would ever do that.

lol seriously? Get off the dude's balls. You talk like he's the second coming of Jesus or something.

Have you ever played sports after coming off an injury? Kobe's knees were probably the last thing on his mind when he went for that block on DWill. The game moves too fast and adrenaline is pumping too quickly to be thinking about stupid shit like that. You just do it and worry about the consequences later.

Sorry to say this, but Kobe does have a unique ability to play through pain...... for this era.

But compared to players from other sports and other eras, it's the norm.

So while it is unique, it isn't exclusive.

Yeah, Shaq's big toe injury is more painful > all of Kobe's injuries right?

Kobe is without a doubt one of the toughest and most durable players in the league.

Kobe has played in 92% (someone double check that as it doesn't come from me) of his games. And that is even more impressive than it sounds because he's had legit injuries that many other players would sit out with.

From this era, I don't know who has been tougher. I'm sure there are other guys that have played more, but I'm not sure thats more impressive considering what Kobe has had to deal with.

For example, Dirk has played in 96% of his games and has played through many injuries, but he hasn't had the same amount of serious injuries Kobe has had.

Dirk is definitely one of the most durable players of this era....and playing through pain for him is routine, but honestly I think Kobe playing in 92% of his games is just as impressive....if not more.

I know its off topic but on the other hand Wade is like the most injury prone star in the game today it seems like.

All this talk about Kobe being able to play through injuries and people are barely mentioning AI. If they do, they try to hate and say slick shit like "He didn't lift weights and didn't train hard enough in the offseason". News flash....half of these NBA dudes don't do shit in the offseason. They are blessed with A1 genes that allow them to do a whole lot of shit that would affect a normal person. Of course this isn't everyone, but it's a lot of them. Especially AI...small, lean, and blessed with extreme quickness and overall speed.

Anyway...as impressive as Kobe is at 30+ to be playing with so many injuries, AI is more impressive IMO. He did it for a good amount of his career and I NEVER saw his lack of conditioning slow him down. Plus, he was a small man going up against giants...literally. He took so many shots and never complained. Just kept going...the definition of heart. He just got old and teams didn't want a 6'0 combo guard who wanted 20 shots a game.

seriously. when i think of people who dont give a **** about pain, iverson is number 1. i watched him play live once, literally looks like a midget running into walls and falling over and over. i lost count of how many times he hit the floor. got back up and kept going.

i think kobe is num 2 tho, you almost have to be retarded to play in games with injuries hes had.
