So you mean, Noah, who has an accurate shot for a defensive big, gave you a different impression of his game after playing a whole season on an injured shooting hand? Therefore you assume spacing would be an issue. Mmmmkay.

And while being guarded. Ugly shots that go in, are still just as good as pretty shots. Great argument.

Oh, get this! He knows how to distribute, and he also plays defense and doesn't require an offensive of defensive system to excel in.

Did I say we should trade him? I love Noah. The guy's awesome. Just don't make him out to be something he isn't. Defenders give him all the space in the world. His tornado isn't bad at the end of the shot clock, but no one's rushing up to defend it. That's the shot the defense WANTS us to take. That's why he doesn't take it as much either. The guy just doesn't have a good touch. He even flings lay ups off the backboard sometimes. It'd be totally redundant to pair another defender who can't shoot with him. We need post scoring, even if it's from headcase Boozer.

I'm not making him out to be something he isn't. But you're making it seem like 50%+ of his shots are uncontested, or that they don't go in. I already admitted, last season, his shot was crap, but that should be obvious, after wearing a brace and having surgery to his shooting hand.

Not to mention, if you have a player that can get a lot of offensive putbacks, then it shouldn't matter who is shooting.

If you're talking about outside shots (since those are the ones that actually spread the floor) then 50% of them at the least are uncontested. From 10-15 feet this year, he shot 44%. Last year it was 40%. Those would be alright, but he's only attempting. 0.2 a game, and 0.4 last year. That's NOT spreading the floor, and the majority ARE uncontested. There isn't a defense in the league that's gonna spread their floor for Noah's tornado.

Yeah, that's how we beat the heat right? Oh wait... We lost because he had no offensive production out of anyone but Rose.

No, we lost to the heat because we had no offensive production from the 2 spot and NO DEFENSE from the 4.

This is what gets me. Did we bring Boozer in to defend? Defense was NOT the problem, other then a few late rotations. Our problem was that outside of Derrick Rose, no one could create, not just the 2. Literally everyone had a shitty series offensively because we
A) run no plays
B) rose ran out of gas/was on an island/played stupid
C) 2 guard
D) injured boozer
E) heat defense
F) injured noah

(in no particular order)

This whole bringing in another defender for Wade thing is overplayed too. Getting a guy who will actually make him guard him is more valuable then having a guy who can defend him but lets him coast for 50 percent of the game.

Boozer was a decent defender in the past. We did bring him in to play both sides of the court. Why do you sign a player to such an extravagant deal, if they only play half of the game? He should then be only worth half his pay.

I don't entirely disagree with your a-f list, because it was a number of things.

With Wade, you're assuming that teams play man-on-man defense. Have you paid attention to how the Heat adjust? They had Wade on Rose for good parts of the series. Wade was playing DEFENSE, because DEFENSE wins championships and all that cliche garble.

Some people just don't seem to understand what it means to be in top physical shape. You can run all day long, and being gassed is a fallacy. You find your 2nd and 3rd winds, you are paid and you train to do this. Your opponents play the same minutes. As the game goes on, you can't really call anyone "gassed". You can say that special players who are brought in for big-body roles get tired, but not an acrobat that can outrun anyone in the league, even in overtime after a long game. Then wake up and do it all over again the next day.

Stick to the fatigue meter on NBA 2k xbox and your video game logic. I'll stick to my real world assessments. And for the record here. I never once, said that simply replacing Boozer with Chandler would put us in a better position to beat Miami, that is an argument you chose to insert, then imply that I inferred.

Oh here... because emoticons make debates look more intelligent.

What? No he wasn't. This year and last year were probably his best defensive seasons. Ask Gar/Pax or the 2034832 fans that wanted Bosh, Boozer, David Lee and Amare.

Yeah, they had Wade on Rose BECAUSE when Bogans is out there, it doesn't matter who guards him. AKA that's an extra 16 minutes that Bibby plays without being a defensive liability. A strong offensive guard forces Wade to guard his real man, and actually guard him. For the stretches that Wade was on Bogans he totally ignored him and wreaked havoc in the passing lanes.

I really don't see the point in arguing that having to defend gets you tired faster. I've seen it happen, and it's sort of common sense.

You said you would rather have Chandler and put Noah at PF. Would you rather have that team for the regular season then? Miami is the only team we should be worried about beating in the East at this point.
