If they want a defensive big who isn't that much of a liability on the free throw end, Jason Collins would fit perfectly... Well their rebounding goes to hell though.

Yes, acquiring Rudy Gay or Marcus Williams would be extremely stupid. Shut up already.

Could Jersey afford to lose Collins? They're extremely low on bigs right now, and it wouldn't shock me to see them get rid of Cliffie after how he screwed them.

Trading the DOPY, arguable the best center in the East, and the corner stone of your team for a piece of **** welfare-rasheed wallace dolt with a huge contract? Please.

Gay won't be there by 7. Celtics would be very fortunate if he is tho.

Who's going to "argue" that Ben wallace is better than Shaq? You? Idjit. All of that "cornerstone of the franchise" stuff means nothing if he won't re-sign, which is what this topic is about. Gay may not be available but he could slide. he's predicted in the 3-5 range, going to 7 wouldn't be a huge falling-off. Paul Pierce and Gerald Green weren't supposed to be there either.

RMWG, I firmly believe ben wallace is the best center in the East.

The guy above me is one of the people who would disagree. He showed up right on cue.

Oh, and btw, arguing shaq is better than ben wallace is far less idiotic than arguing the trade you propose. If only we could do polls.

Pistons would be damn lucky to get Raef and the 7th pick for Ben. They're not going to have cap room no matter what they do so Raef's contract is a non-factor. Meanwhile the 7th gives them the ability to draft a center to take over Ben's spot. He's most likely leaving anyway because he hates the coach. Why you guys jumping all over Celtics fans for proposing this? it's much, much better than what you're getting: most likely nothing.

Imagine if he took the MLE from Dallas to play there. Holy Jesus.

I wonder if we got Ben Wallace would BK still be criticized for getting yet another 6'9 player?

No I'm not. The beef with him was drafting players that play the same "position". Ben Wallace = Center. Dont see how his height would be a problem and relevant to the teams aquiring players last couple seasons.

You're reaching.
