Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the suns only play like 4 teams above .500 during their winning streak?

Are we playing by 2006 rules or 1996 rules?

Yeah that would make a difference

because by 96 rules Jordan may only average 45 against the Suns in a 7 game series, if we go by 06 rules where the game is easier for guards, Jordan would average 55 against the Suns in a 7 game series lol.

I think Jordan, Pip, and Rodman would shut down their man bad enough that Nash and Barbosa would have to jack up alot more jumpers.

if Kobe and the 06 Lakers (a first round exit team that ran the triangle) were able to slow down the Suns like they did, just imagine what a legendary championship team would do that plays the same style.

well in the suns defense, they are far deeper this year than last year's playoff team. Last year's playoff Suns only ran with 7 guys! They had no center or power forward, they ran with three Small Forwards (Tim Thomas, Boris, Marion) and two guards at all times. This year's Suns team has the same lineup as last year's playoff team (minus Thomas) but with the addition of Stoudemire and Kurt Thomas.

Point is the Suns were slowed down because Phil Jackson exposed their lack of size last year, give the Suns Amare and Kurt Thomas last year during the playoffs, and that series doesn't go 7. Suns woulda took it in 5 or 6.

Those late 90's Bulls team was so dangerous because they could make anyone play the style the wanted. They had the pressure defence, intelligence, and near psychotic competivness to disrupt any offense. The flow phoenixs fast break would fall apart very quickly.

On offense the had very smart players that bought fully into there coaches system, the greatest player that every lived, a complimentary top 50 all time supporting player, great roleplayers: Slashers, rebounders, pure shooters. The only thing they lacked was a center who wasn't Luc Longley/Bill Wennington.
