Default should the knicks follow miami with a big 3?

OF COURSE. i keep hearing how miami failed with their big 3... well
a) it was their FIRST season together and they managed to come within 2 games of the championship
b) chris bosh really shouldnt be considered as an 'elite' player, he's a star just not a superstar
c) look at the celtics who formed their own big 3 and how well that worked out.

** of course i would like to get a big center (dwight howard, tyson chandler type) but if the only big guy is dalembert (sp) I would rather use that money for chris paul and just either draft or use the MLE to pick up a cheap center (mozgov type) and add pieces along the way.

For the Knicks i think getting a star pg would be better it would help Amare as he gets older. I think Dwill would be better than Paul he's bigger, a better scorer, and not as ball dominant.

Lol what? Ball dominant? Chris Paul would run circles around defenses with the Knicks. I hope he lands with the Clippers though.

He needs the ball too much Williams can play off the ball which would be better for Melo. Same for the Clippers Williams would be better

I'd rather the Knicks go after Dwight Howard. Melo/Amare/Dwight would make one of the most formidable front courts in the history of the NBA.

Not 5, not 6, not 7...

Maybe 0? lol j/k. Anyways i agree with you, it is easier to find a point guard than a big. You could find that Chalmers type/knock down shooter point.

Knicks are 1 star away from being a contender.

Knicks are set if they get Dwight.. inside/outside scoring plus interior defense.. good lord.

It won't happen though.

Not entirely.

You look at Paul's numbers and he is just as efficient when spotting up as Williams. Paul takes a hands-on approach to the game which is what makes him so great. Williams is a better scorer so he'll find ways regardless to get baskets.

However, we're not running our offense through Melo if we get a PG. Melo is not a playmaker, hes a finisher. Therefore we need someone to have total control of our offense at the PG position, with Melo having to adjust his game. He'll get his isolations in the halfcourt regardless, but he also is capable of getting off of screens, cutting to the basket, and he excelled shooting the 3 last season.

I know what you mean but i really don't think its a good idea for one guy to control so much of the offence if you want to win a tittle. Chris Paul is also small he has knee issues plays passive at times and relies to much on the pick and roll. I just think Deron Williams is the PG you go with if you want to win a tittle he really doesn't have any flaws in his game.
