Default Krstic hurt?

"I went to spin, my knee twisted and I heard a pop," Krstic, who left the arena in a wheelchair, said in a statement released by the team.

Krstic went down grabbing his left knee with 6 minutes 12 seconds left in the third quarter. The injury occurred as he was backing down Lakers center Kwame Brown. Krstic spun into the lane to make a move and appeared to twist his left knee as he planted his foot.

Krstic dropped the ball and fell to the court in pain. He was down for about four minutes, laying on his side and holding the knee as he cringed and clutched a towel. He was helped off the court and taken to the locker room by Nets center Mile Ilic and power forward Josh Boone.

Any news on Nenad's status? It would be fatal for the Nets if he missed a larger number of games.

Default re

he istaking an MRI today while the Nets play the Bucks. based on an intiial look at the injury, it seems like an ACL or possibly MCL tear.

i've had "twists" in those ligaments and it hurts tremendously, but I have been able to stand up after a while. this simply seems like a tear.

just read it on nets daily... when it rains it pours.

this season seems to have been an abject lesson in "don't get your hopes too high as a nets fan. especially in the preseason."

this was a good playoff team from last year with a much-improved bench. two people in particular, jefferson and krstic, were expected to develop even further this year, augmenting a foursome that were each capable of scoring from inside and outside. team cohesion, effort, and frank's ability to get the most from his people were all expected to improve this year. kidd was going to have the best backup since anthony johnson and would be able to get all the rest he needed. an influx of young talent was in place to restock key positions for years to come.

well, pretty much moore and adams have been the only things to go right, and they weren't even on the list.

*sighs*
