Chuck just happened to run into the GOAT in the Finals.
Chuck has 2 Gold Medals. His own sneaker, he was a pop culture icon.
Barkley had a LEGIT case for like 2 or 3 MVP awards. Even though I personally still believe each of those years he was legit case for the MVP, Jordan was still clearly better.
Dirk's 2007 MVP is bogus to anyone with a brain.
Dirk deserved that 2007 MVP that was not bogus. If anything Barkley's 93 MVP was bogus and it should have been Hakeem's. Dirk was also a candidate for MVP for multiple seasons. 2005, 2006, and 2011 just to list a few. Dirk could have won the 2011 MVP if he didn't' get hurt.
People will always forget Dirk's 2006 playoff run just because he choked the 2-0 lead. Reality is that Dirk dominated those 3 West teams prior to playing the Miami Heat.
Yes that one ring does put him ahead of Barkley. Maybe it's because I hate Barkley because he talks like a dumbass on TV and he has been making a fool out of himself for a decade now or because he had an attitude problem and was a fatass that wasn't willing to take care of his body.
No he did not ... you lose in the 1st round, w/ a number 1 seed to an 8th seed, on a 67 win team ...
You do not deserve MVP.
Regardless if its a "regular season" award.
The MVP should not be accepting that trophy exclusively on a podium.
The MVP is supposed to recieve the award in front of his home crowd while still playing in the playoffs.
MVPs wouldn't let a number 8 seed take them out in the 1st round. Unable to exploit matchup problems.
Ok... I've read that you thought Kobe should have won the MVP in 2007 and it's funny because the same thing would have happened to Kobe if you gave him the MVP instead.
That MVP race was between Nash and Dirk. So your choices are Nash receiving his 3rd MVP or Dirk receiving his 1st MVP. They always favor the guy that never won the MVP over the guy that already has a couple. It is pretty much why LeBron didn't win his 3rd MVP last season.
