Krstic was doing so well, averaging career highs in points and rebounds.

though this loss is devastating to the Nets, (looking at the cup half full) it is not like they lost Carter...

but now comes the pivotal decision.

should Thorn gamble on a trade to forge this team onward to continue to try to win?

should Thorn blow it up now and try to get Oden?

should the current squad persevere?

Dont make any moves yet. See how the Nets play and if they go on a losing streak then make moves. I have confidence in Josh Boone and Mikki Moore and maybe even Mile Illic

They have zero chance this season...

I think they have to just play through it though, get Boone and Ilic on the court to see what they can do. Let the young ones grow, try and trade Collins, and sign Carter or don't at the end of the season, but apparently, the team isn't going anywhere as currently constructed. The team has to make some changes.

Personally, I say let Carter walk and build around Williams and Jefferson and hopefully Krstic comes back awesome. The cap space can be used to another really good big, they'll be somewhere in the neighborhood of 42 will, roughly 13 mill under the cap.

the market for bigmen is not very deep next season. if Carter really wants to go, Nets will do everything in their power to trade for Milicic, shooters and picks.

Nenad loss really blows.
maybe getting Gasol is not unrealistic (big trade).
or, more realistically, Melvin Ely (small trade).

those are good ideas thouhg

1) Jerry West has said no trades or anything at all until the Memphis sale transaction is completed

2) Thorn has been trying to get em, but Cats aren't impresse dby what the Nets are offering.

Can this season get any worst....RJ needs Surgery and shouldn't really be playing, Krstic done for the season, the good thing is that Kidd says he feels like hes 20 again. I don't know how this season is gonna go now, will we win the Atlantic Division or will be an extra long offseason when we don't make the playoffs.

the only way the nets pull out of this is if the rookies seriously step up

the East is too terrible for a still very talented team to NOT make the playoffs.

going far will be a stretch.

with the 4 seed versus a team like... Washington or Cleveland, the Nets will have a chance to get to Round 2. but anything else is not likely.

If we make Playoffs with Krstic be there, like RJ a couple years ago. Or will he still be sitting on the bench then?

Thats what I thought I just wanted to double check. With krstic out I think Rj should have the surgery so we can get him back 100% and give our Rookies a lot of playing time now becuase Were gonna need RJ at his full potetnial when we make it back to the playoffs and were gonna need our Rookies to be able to play to there fullest, to take up for krstic not being there.
