Default VC to Lakers trade thoughts.

i'm just throwing this out there to see if fans of both teams (and anyone else) would at least think twice about this trade. not even looking at salaries. just putting out the main players involved.

VC and Collins

for

Odom and Bynum

Nets are gonna lose VC and want a young big man for the future. they get that plus someone who can mesh into any system in Odom. Won't hog the ball allowing a nice flow to the game.

Lakers would do it because they have two superstar guards now that can carry the team farther today than if they had Odom and Bynum. Collins brings depth after the loss of Odom and Bynum. It would be hard to give up Bynum, but for Carter?

Lakers management would do it in a heartbeat for marketing.

Nets management doesn't mind stacking a team in the west.

Parker/Farmar
Kobe
Carter/Walton
Cook/Collins
Brown

Imagine Carter/Kobe versus Iverson/Melo!

Nets for the future

Kidd/Williams
Jefferson
Odom
Krstic
Bynum

A lot younger and pretty good days ahead of them.

thoughts?

oh yea, would a 1st rounder going in whatever direction change your mind if you originally didn't like the trade?

Laker fans wouldn't trade Odom and Bynum for KG, let alone a player who has an expiring contract, whom may not even re-sign. This is a terrible trade for the Lakers, terrible...........

Lakers wouldn't do Odom and Bynum for KG at this point. Why would they do it for VC?

I wouldn't necessarily do it either. I think Bynum will be an all-star centre.

I just want to see VC/Bryant vs. Iverson/Melo damnit!

I don't even think the Lakers would do this deal if it were straight up. The Lakers have been terrible without Odom.

you mean Odom for Carter?

I don't care how good a team appears with Odom, i'd give him up everyday of the week for another guy who can put up 35/6/6/ on any given night.

plus, Odom isn't gonna do shat when it matters most.

if this hypothetical trade were to work, Odom would probably play PF. Jefferson has bulked up way too much to be able to play SG anymore. he used to play it in spot minutes in past seasons, but not anymore.

Odom is the best for our system. Bynum is developing. Why would we want VC and a center that sucks balls?

VC? your'e kidding right? Him and Kobe could not play together we'd have to move one of them to SF and both of them would chuck like noones business. No thanks. One chuck is enough for one team go ask the Knicks.
