Thank god they did not reference Lakas.
It would say "Theo Papaloukas was the highest earning player in Europe last season making 5.1 million dollars, which is the equivalent of a 18 million dollar NBA contract."

Another idiot American sports writer that can't grasp that the contracts in Europe are listed in net income terms, not gross income terms.
