y'all voted in lock step with them on most big issues when you were in the Big 12 too. Nebraska was completely fine with things like the unequal revenue sharing when they were consistently making the big bowl games. That didn't really become an issue until they started losing under Callahan.
Doesn't really matter though. Unless Texas pulls something completely out of their ass like turning the Longhorn Network into a Big 12 Network I think A&M is going to be out of the Big 12 and in the SEC here pretty soon. If that happens it will only be a matter of time before the Big 12 completely implodes.
I'm all for going to the SEC. Baylor's going to be ****e when the Big 12 implodes. Nine team conference? Get outta town.
And here is the scud missile I’ve been expecting from Texas A&M and referenced a couple of hours ago:
TAMU is now posting a Boards of Regents meeting for Monday (such meetings have to be posted 72 hours prior). Tie that in with the fact that the SEC presidents are meeting on Sunday and you have the accelerated timeline that I’ve been hinting at.
Something else to keep in mind is the fact that President Loftin has the power to make the A&M-to-SEC deal happen on his own. It can happen prior to the BOR actually meeting and voting on the issue. In other words, the Ags could have made the move at any time next week (following Sunday’s SEC presidents’ meeting) and simply thrown a "pending BOR approval" in the announcement. From there, the BOR would have simply rubber-stamped it with what will likely be a unanimous "yes" vote.
What you just witnessed was a show of solidarity on Texas A&M’s part. This is a like-minded group of decision-makers that just sent the message that they are going to get things done. The most aggressive move I’ve seen from this university since I’ve been covering Aggie athletics.

I didn't know you all were currently that serious about going to the $EC. I'm pretty sure paying your players in a prerequisite for joining, though. I heard the Big 12 would look to replace you with Houston, BYU and/or Louisville. They should have went after TCU last year.
FSU said it was happy with the ACC and wasn't going to leave.
I think Forde is simply writing a hit piece for ESPN and the horns to be perfectly honest.
Seriously now, he brings up the size of the two schools scoreboards to try and make a point.
I really would not take anything seriously from ESPN on this subject at this point b/c there is an incredible conflict of interest going on.
They have already set the precedent that they will not renegotiate their deal with the Big 12 if schools leave unless membership falls to 9 teams which voids the deal. If A&M goes, its going to be nearly impossible to replace them value wise and ESPN will be stuck with an even more watered down Big 12 and LHN. They would first go after schools like Notre Dame (lulz) and BYU (unlikely) but would probably end up with SMU, Houston or possibly Louisville which would not be something ESPN would be happy about.
Meanwhile, the SEC can renegotiate their TV deal when they add teams. So ESPN would be forced to fork out even more money in order to keep the rights to what is considered the best college football conference in the land.
They are set to lose a shit ton of money and its no surprise to me that their national coverage has been almost completely negative towards A&M.
I honestly thought Arkansas could be a darkhorse National Championship contender, but now they're down Knile Davis (obviously an enormous loss) and Broederick Green (not anything great but gave us a big power back on short yardage and goal line situations) for the season.

FSU is probably better off in the ACC. They have a MUCH better shot at getting the ACC's automatic bid than the SEC's. Winning brings in prized recruits = win titles = more money.

Florida State needs to stay in the ACC, they have so much talent this year that they should be a lock to win the ACC.
Disagree about the recruits though, being in the SEC could bring them prized recruits alone because so many guys want to play in the SEC. Plus Florida State always get's elite recruits anyway.
