It would not surprise me one bit if LSU lost to either Arkansas or Georgia. Like I said a few days ago, there's still a lot of football to be played.

I just hope Oregon takes care of business and Auburn beats Alabama in a couple of weeks or LSU drops one, then the Ducks will be back in the Natty for sure.

What is up with teams like LSU playing Western Kentucky last week and Alabama playing Georgia Southern this week?

Looking back at LSU's schedule, it's not as tough as people make it out to be. Oregon, West Virginia, Alabama and Arkansas were/are their only real tough games. The SEC is down this year aside from the top 3 (LSU, 'bama, Arkansas).

The SEC schedules SEC vs. SoCon FCS "challenge" games the week before to tune-up for rivalry week.

How is LSU's schedule any different than Oregon's or Oklahoma's? LSU played two tougher non-conference opponents in Oregon and West Virginia, and one cupcake in Western Kentucky. Oregon played LSU, Nevada, and Missouri State. Oklahoma played Florida State, Tulsa, and Ball State.

I agree, the SEC is down this year, but the middle of the pack and lower level teams are still about on par of those in the other AQ conferences.

So that shits on everything.

I honestly think that the team that lost tonight was... well OSU. But also OU. I mean now really they have no shot barring an LSU loss. That OSU win won't look nearly as good. And they were already on their last gasp.

Also Oregon loses out because USC is on probation. Because if they beat SC they should get a boost from that. But if SC was eligible they could possibly play again in the Pac-12 championship. That's two quality wins sitting there for Oregon. But alas they need to beast SC, and well. Then handle business.

But it seems to me that Bama is still the favorite assuming LSU remains undefeated.

Sad day for the OSU community. In the end, you've got to win the game and they didn't. Thought they should have gone for two to win it in the first OT. Watching the body language of both teams, there was nothing for them to gain by making that game longer.

Didn't we already have that rematch Thursday night? Two QB who can't make a throw when it matters, teams content to play 'punt for field position', relying on their defense to score, hoping that they can somehow manufacture some points at the end of the game?

Y'know, the Game of the Century?

Oh no, that was Jets - Broncos.

I honestly have zero interesting in watching an LSU/Bama rematch. I'd rather see LSU/Oregon or LSU/OK St.

Dude, chill. Lol. I was just saying it's not like the SEC has been as tough from top to bottom as it has been in recent years. The Tennessee's and Florida's and Auburn's are nowhere near as good as they have been. Even Ole Miss, Vandy, and Kentucky are worse than they have been.

I wouldn't consider Nevada a cupcake. The last two years they only had 2 losses total and they're decent his year, too. That definitely wasn't as big of a cupcake as LSU (Northwestern State, Western Kentucky) and Alabama (Kent State, North Texas (my alma mater lol), Georgia Southern) scheduled.

Oregon's already gotten straight-up screwed by the BCS in 2001. I STILL haven't forgot about that.

Colorado beat Nebraska by like 30 in the regular season finale, but FOURTH-RANKED Nebraska still made it in over No. 2 ranked Oregon, and then Oregon proceeded to kick the dog crap out of Colorado in the Fiesta Bowl, and Nebraska got dealt with by Miami in the Nat'l Title Game.

That was BS. One of the BCS' biggest mistakes ever.

And with all of my defending of Oregon, watch them go lose tonight.

Still a LOT of football to be played.

LSU still has to play Ole Miss, Arkansas and the SEC TItle game against Georgia. 2 of those 3 will be tough.
Alabama still has to play a big-time rivalry game AT Auburn.
Oregon still has to play USC (probably the most underrated team in the nation), Oregon State and then the Pac 12 Champ game probably against Arizona State.

Any of those teams, like Ok State proved last night, can lose against any opponent (except Alabama's late-season cupcake Georgia Southern).

Vanderbilt is better than normal this year. That's not saying alot, but they aren't your typical Vanderbilt.

And I wasn't counting Nevada as a cupcake. i was counting them abuot on the same level as West Virginia. Missouri is Oregon's cupcake, like Northwestern State is/was LSU's cupcake.

Two absolute bullshit calls against Illinois in the Wisconsin game. Two phantom offensive pass interference calls. Unbelievable.
