There was a note in the NY Post that Phil Jackson is there to induct Tex Winter. And Rodman asked him after he found out that Phil was already going to be there. I suspect that Rodman doesn't have too many friends among his ex-teamates.
Anyone know if he's sober these days? I saw one episode of him on celebrity rehab and it was pretty messed up.
Dennis Rodman to Enter Hall of Fame Via Helicopter
by Marcel Mutoni / @marcel_mutoni
Earlier this week, there was a bit of a letdown when we learned that Dennis Rodman would be on his best behavior during his Hall of Fame ceremony. But fear not, the event will not be a bore.
It will be featuring Dennis Rodman after all, as the headliner no less.
The eccentric Hall of Famer tells the Miami Herald that he will arrive at the induction ceremony by helicopter, with acrobats doing some kind of performance. Of course he will:
Dennis Rodman told us Tuesday he will arrive at his Basketball Hall of Fame induction Friday by helicopter. He wanted to enter the Hall on a colorful float, “but they wouldn’t let me block off the street” in Springfield, Mass.
He said he will hire acrobats to perform and “a couple of my outfits will be ‘out there.’ Whatever might be too zany is not too zany.” His marketing agent, Floyd Ragland, said Rodman is spending $60,000 to fly in Penny Marshall, Howard Stern and other friends. Phil Jackson is Rodman’s presenter.
Amazingly, the Hall of Fame folks seem to be embracing Rodman’s wild side; following the event, they will reportedly put the “gaudy” outfit Dennis plans to wear tomorrow night on display.
No word yet if the helicopter and acrobats will also be inducted.

The 6'0 guy crashes the boards, always boxes his man out on defensive rebounds, uses timing and hustle to get 5 rebounds even though he rarely camps inside the paint. The 6'0 man is a better rebounder to me, but every team still needs a 6'9 guy. Rodman to me was a combination of the best of both of these two type of players. He intimidated with his defense, but his timing, IQ, strength, and feel for getting rebounds was un-paralled. Russell, Chamberlain... all have cases for best rebounding against Rodman but to me Rodman will always be the best. He wasn't getting his rebounding numbers against inferior competition, he was boxing out and grabbing his boards against some of the best bigs in the history of the game... in an era that is arguably the best era of big men in the history of the game.
Rodman
Solid post.
Rodman was truly one of a kind, on and off the court.

Well deserved imo, Rodman is one of the best rebounder and defender of all time. He is also feared and known for his trash talk game and colored hair lol.
