Help me settle an argument. It's a 10 team PPR league where we have to start 3 WR and have a WR/RB spot. My friend is convinced his WR are way better than mine. I really like my whole team but I was just wanting to know what everyone thought about this.

His are:
Brandon Lloyd
Wes Welker
Julio Jones
Steve Smith (CAR)
Plaxico Burress

Mine are:
Mike Wallace
Dwayne Bowe
Kenny Britt
Mike Thomas
AJ Green
Nate Burleson
Greg Little

Truthfully neither yours or his standout for a 10 team league but i definitely prefer your wr group. Way more upside.

Yeah I know it could have been better but I wanted to make sure I had two solid RB for a PPR league, this is the team I ended up with.

I had the #1 pick and took Ray Rice because it's a PPR and they also said he's for sure the goal line back now and the whole Vonta Leach being there too.

QB Matt Schaub
QB Josh Freeman
RB Ray Rice
RB Matt Forte
WR Mike Wallace
WR Dwayne Bowe
WR Kenny Britt
TE Jimmy Graham
WR/RB Reggie Bush
K Ryan Succop
DEF Tennessee

BN Mike Thomas
BN AJ Green
BN Nate Burleson
BN Greg Little
BN Jared Cook
BN Colt McCoy
BN Michael Bush

I'm really worried that I'm in for a drop in the premier league after winning it last year. Its preseason so I will have time to improve this but what do you think of this team as it stands now?

14 team standard lleague

Kolb
Maclin
Harvin
Ocho Cinco
Rice
McFad
Gronk
Beanie

Hunter/Carter/E Moore/Killa Cam/Karim/Ridley

Hensley
AZ Def (for first 5 weeks)

Thanks for any thoughts :-)

Wait let me get this straight in a 14 team league you have McFadden/Rice/Beanie? That's pretty godly.

Ocho is not a guy I have much faith in. He still has name recognition that precedes his actual FF value. I would definitely try and move him to someone. Harvin and Maclin are both studs and will finish as top 20 options. I think your team is great, especially if you can move Ocho and get another QB option off the waiver.

Yah I obsess with getting 2 of the very best RB's every year to go along with another full load RB. Was lucky to deal off depth for McFadden so locked that up early this year. I think we both have the same concerns with Ocho Cinco this year although I think he does have a chance to explode just because he's got Brady. Will most likely deal him off when he (hopefully) has a good 1st or 2nd week. Kinda hard to get another deal done right now when I have no pieces on my bench and am not willing to deal my other WR's.

QB depth is another concern but pretty easily filled in most leagues. Gronk is a obvious weak spot but I think Moore is a stud and TE seems very deep this year.

Good luck with ur leagues this year. Ill keep reading the money league thread to see how you build another monster team this year.

Considering it is your first year playing fantasy football it's definitely ok although there is a lot I don't like. For starters I rarely advise drafting a tight end early (which you did in order to draft Gates). In the past there was a usually a huge disparity between the top tight ends and the second tier but recently and especially this year the gap has virtually disappeared and you can find guys like Jared Cook and Lance Kendricks who present major upside off the waiver wire or at the very end of your draft. Long story short it's not a position you need to invest a lot in, especially a 4th round pick. That's not to say if a stud tight end falls to you below his ADP don't snag him but that's typically uncommon.

Really not high on Jonathan Stewart. At this point in time his name is more valuable then his actual on field production. He is definitely highly skilled but he's playing second fiddle in a crap offense that is going to be playing from behind. Also he has been very brittle thus far in his career.

If I were you, and I'm not sure how open to trades other members of the league are but I would look into moving Gates/Stewart for a downgrade at tight end (as I've pointed out it won't really be a downgrade) and an upgrade at your flex. For instance Gates/Stewart for Hightower/Jimmy Graham.
