Priority picks (worse teams getting 2 higher picks) is a REALLY bad idea.
They use that system in the AFL (Australian Football League) and teams without question have tanked to get those picks.
They've changed it recently so that you only get priority picks if you've been terrible for 2 straight seasons but tanking still happens. That system can bring more problems that it's worth, the NBA should consult the AFL about the issues they've had with it.

Terrible idea. There are already isn't enough room for rookies to get serious PT. A 3rd round would end up being a bunch of D-leaguers and overseas projects.

I like the idea of 3 rounds, if the teams that draft them can put them on their affiliate teams. They should also up the salaries for the NBDL players. $100,000 a season sounds fair. Currently they get pretty crummy pay.

I would be a lot more interested in the Red Claws if they had 3-4 Celtic rookies on the team.

I hate the idea of crummy teams getting to pick twice in the 1st round. They already are lucky to get lottery picks. They just seem to suck at drafting. Look at what San Antonio and Boston do year in, year out in the draft. Imagine the damage those front offices would do if they had a lottery pick? Some of these perennial lottery teams are there for a reason, they suck at drafting and generally have terrible organisations. Don't reward their idiocy by giving them more picks to screw up.
