Re: sources reporting Pitt, Syracuse apply to join ACC
This shit's getting crazy, it's seeming more and more likely the "4 super conferences" becomes a reality. Notre Dame to the Big Ten's obvious, then maybe Mizzou, there's Texas rumors out there much as I wouldn't want them. Not sure about Kansas's academics but we just took Nebraska, who's not exactly Podunk State or anything but they're easily the worst conference school academically now. The academic qualifications are more or less going to need to be dropped which is a shame.
If the 4 conference thing really happens, LEAVE THE NCAA IN THE DUST.

Makes some sense for everyone involved. Even in non-football sports Texas/ND will bring some name-value to a conference that doesn't get as much respect as the Big 10 or SEC. It's going to be interesting to see how Texas does as an Independent.
Re: sources reporting Pitt, Syracuse apply to join ACC
I'm just not a fan of this at all, the Big East is perfect basketball wise, and I think any conference with more than 12 teams in football is just over the top. It's a shame that the Pitt-WVU rivalry will be less of a rivalry if WVU isn't going to be in the ACC.
Who the hell do they get to play in the Big East football wise now? Bring up Villanova, maybe bring back Temple, or invite a C-USA team like Memphis (who I'm surprised isn't in the Big East or another conference with how good they are in basketball) I guess they could get the Big 12 rejects like Iowa State and Baylor if the Big 12 falls.
It just sucks that the realignment is really getting rid of the geographical rivalry games, it's just retarded to see the Big East invite a team in Texas, along with other retarded geographical moves.

Not only that (in basketball), but this gives them another reason to go like 1-11 or 0-12 in football, biggest joke of a team in football for a AQ Conference
Definitely gonna be weird. ACC certainly needed the hoops depth though, been UNC and Duke and......big gap.....everyone else for like a decade. Kinda curious what happens to Nova now.
