You have got to be kidding me. Gerhart's YPC is pointless because he's carried the ball 8 times, Peterson has carried it 81 times.
Anyway, CJ is a great WR, Welker is a great WR. They are completely different players, they shouldn't even be compared, they have different roles, and they both do them very well. That's pretty much it.
Hardesty's yards per carry and yards per catch are better than Hillis's so demoting Hillis would only make sense.
Yep, you always demote the white player who gave you 1600+ yards last year who is averaging 3.8 ypc for the black player who gave you nothing last year and is averaging 3.9 ypc....with half the carries....that's why Toby Gerhart is now starting in Minnesota over Adrian Peterson....

3.9 >>> 3.8
Funny how you don't talk about number of carries with AP and TG
And that Adrian Ppeterson has had 1600+ yds from scrimmage EVERY YEAR OF HIS CAREER.
Because they give him the ball EVERY YEAR OF HIS CAREER AND ALMOST EVERY DOWN OF EVERY GAME....unlike those non-affroletes like Gerhart and Hillis.....
Gerhart has a 7.1 ypc average this year....Peterson about 4.5 ypc. Gerhart was a better college player than Ingram and LaBlount Garrett.....but somehow both of them are starting and Gerhart's getting about two reps per week....so the locker room will be happy....even though the Vikings are losing every game...that's just the way it works in the NFL. Watch closely the Peyton Hillis situation over the next few weeks. I really believe he is about to be the first white athlete who finally comes out and says whats going on....the Browns are refusing to resign him and cutting his playing time to deligitimatize his worth...its boiling over. Hillis strikes me as the type who will give up fame and fortune to tell the truth....and if he tells the truth his career is over...but I think he will do it.
I was rereading some of northwinds "enlightened" posts and I can't believe I missed him calling LaGarrette Blount LaBlount Garrett
like every other elite wr, calvin johnson is putting his qb in a good position, like andre with schuab. fitzgerald is good, but i feel he's not doing enough to help kolb's case. sure it's not fitzgerald's fault kolb hasn't been solid, but andre and calvin have been able to produce nicely with their qbs? why can't fitzgerald?
lol wut? Aside from Kurt Warner, Fitz has played with nothing but scrub QBs over the course of his entire career and has put up consistent numbers with every single one of them. He had possibly the best postseason out of any WR in NFL history in 2008. He gets double teamed constantly with pathetic QBs passing to him and STILL puts up elite numbers, making some of the worst QBs like Kolb even look decent when they throw to him.
Larry Fitzgerald simply has the best hands in the whole league. Possibly ever in the NFL. In the 2011 season, Fitz had AN 80-1 DROP RATIO! Best in the league BY FAR AS ****! The person in second place in that category had 40-1, HALF the ratio of Fitz, and Calvin Johnson, with all of his hype, only had a mere 24-1 ratio. Fitz also finished the season with over 1400 yards and according to ESPN, caught every single "attainable" pass thrown to him over the course of the whole year.
And to top this all off, Fitz had f*cking KEVIN KOLB AND JOHN SKELTON throwing to him. He didn't have Mr. #1 draft pick "Comeback Player Of The Year" Matt Stafford throwing to him, like Calvin Johnson did. He didn't have Matt Schaub, who's often considered a top 10 QB by many, throwing to him, like Andre Johnson (usually) does. He had QBs that would be 2nd to 3rd string backups on almost every other team throwing to him. And yet he still put up similar stats.
Fitz is the best WR in the league, plain and simple. Megatron is right below him, and Andre Johnson isn't far behind the two, but give me Fitz any day. If he had an elite QB throwing to him in a pass happy offense, he would break hella records and would retire with #1 all time receiving yards(which he still might do regardless, despite having scrub QBs throwing to him). Give the man credit where it's due.
