n vernacular usage, "Asian" is often used to refer to those of East Asian descent or anyone else of Asian descent with epicanthic eyefolds.[12][13] This differs from the U.S. Census definition[8][14] and the Asian American Studies departments of many universities consider those of East, South or Southeast Asian descent with or without epicanthic eyefolds to be "Asian".[15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22] In the US Census, people who originate from the original peoples of the East Asia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia are classified as part of the Asian race; while peoples from Siberia, Central Asia, and Western Asia are classified as "White

Central Asians are not white, in fact they have a whole history of r@ping whites like Russians and east euro f@gs

Western Asians aren't "white" either

you do understand that all you said is....

The US census and federal Government has a different meaning for a "race classification"

Asia is a huge continent with many different people with minor physical differences...
"eyefolds...white Asians....siberian Asians.....Western Asians"???? sounds pretty dumb to me.

and science has already proven that "race" is just a social construct that has really no meaning since we as human beings are all the same species.

recap: no matter what imaginary classification the government says you are....science has already proven that race is non existent and only minor physical appearances aside we are all the same species.

your social environment and cultural divides makes you who you are......Lin grew up in America ....he is American.

According to Science and nature ...yes we are all the same species with very little physical differences.....

according to some stupid ignorant people...."Hey he has the same color eyes as me......we __________(fill in random color) eyes are so great!.....anything someone with _________(fill in random color eye) can do I can too!!!!....YAY! _______(fill in random color eye) People!!!"

I am willing to bet money...Lin has more in common with a "random African American from the Bay Area" then some random Taiwanese kid.....despite minor physical attributes...Lin would have much more overall similarities.

once again

Science>stupid people.

It's a collection of data. What people believe does matter. Cultures and society does matter. A large collection of data holds a lot of weight, especially when it's about people's views. You can call Lin American, but that doesn't stop people from viewing him as Asian. Think of another person's perspective. It's kind of a given that Lin is American, but a person will view him as Asian. They look at him and think Asian.
