Definitely do not trade Luck if they get the chance at him though, how many teams transition from a hall of famer to a close to sure thing #1 overall stud? lucky team imo.

If the Cards aren't happy with Kolb, then they might give up half their team and half of their draft for him.

If Indy gets the pick they should keep it hold onto Luck for him to learn like mentioned earlier with Aaron Rogers. Franchise QB's dont come along often. Developing QB's is such a hit and miss thing.

I really think the Chiefs or Dolphins will probably be the worse teams.

Kellen Moore also has a low delivery to go with his short height. He will have to deal with a lot of batted balls.

I don't get why Kellen Moore is so underrated, guy is so accurate, good arm strength, and never makes mistakes, maybe it's lesser competition, but I don't get what he doesn't have that Luck does. The guy made Titus Young and Austin Pettis into 2nd and 3rd round picks.

Moore's not underrated. He's likely to be the 4th or 5th QB off the board. For an undersized guy from a smaller school, that's about right. And I'm not one to knock his competition. Boise has been among the top teams in the nation for 5 years, but the BCSPN conspiracy keeps them locked out.

Luck is a generational QB. Big, big arm, super smart, passing offense, and can run on top of it all. If I was Indy, I'd draft him in a heartbeat. It's foolish to assume that a 36 yr old guy with a chronic neck problem that causes him to miss a full season is going to play again, or for very long. There's no way they trade Manning, but you discuss retirement plans with him very seriously.

But the only comparison between Luck and Moore is that they both play QB.

It's a quarterback league, not a left tackle or OLB league.

Luck is/was hyped up to be the best prospect in the last 10 years. If we're giving up that dude, we better be getting back some great talent.

I never said IT WAS REALISTIC, just that this is the type of package I would want if we're giving up the best quarterback prospect of the last 10 years.

Isn't there a QB every single draft that is hyped as the "greatest prospect in the last [insert arbitrary number of years here]"? I'm so sick of that sentence.

Bradford is one of the greatest prospects ever...he didn't even play the entire year and still went #1 overall in one of the deepest drafts the NFL has ever seen...

Luck's hype is just unreal though, it is much more hype than Bradford ever got no doubt...Locker was also declared the "for sure #1 overall" before the college season started, then was quickly rumored to go in the 3rd round...then ended up being a top-10 pick.

It will be interesting to see the big names that pop up that could challenge Luck's hype...

he will never be able to live up to all this hype...if he isn't the next Peyton Manning right away he will be viewed as bust.

Luck's a much better QB at the same stage than Bradford was. Much better.

I never heard anybody say Locker was the top pick. Top 10? Sure, but not #1. Time will show that he's no more than a journeyman.

If there's a draft, Luck is #1. He's the closest thing to Manning since Manning.

all of this is wrong...I heard "this is the Locker game" many times last year till he started sucking...he was declared the #1 pick by MANY...you can probably just look in this forum even.

Sam broke college football records...he was the best college QB ever...then he got injured and missed an entire year...he WAS better than Luck on the same stage...lol @ "much better"

the closest thing to Manning since Manning prospect wise was Vick and then after that Sam...who had just as much prosect potential as Manning did

I have a hard time accepting the fact that Indy might get this #1 overall. Last time they had #1 they got one of the best QB's of all time. And now, they potentially can get Luck, who by all accounts, looks like he might be a monster in his own right.

Its like the Spurs getting DRob, then TimmyD 10 years later. C'mon, let another franchise get a legit QB.

But for me, you never, ever trade a #1 overall unless he pulls an Eli Manning and you flip it for #2 and numerous other picks.

But if they do get Luck, who better to learn under than Manning? And Manning contract gets better with age, its a decreasing salary
