Sports science is talking about his jumper/fadeaway not his post game and hook shots.

Give me Kareem's skyhook.
While Dirk's shot may be "unguardable" to a degree, as a defender your job is not necessarily to block the shot. Let's face it, in this era, the best shotblocker doesn't even block 3 shots a game. A defender's job ultimately is to limit the scorer's effectiveness hopefully by forcing him to take shots out of his comfort zone.

Smaller players used to guard him well. But that changed since the 07 series. He didn't have the "Euro one legged fade" til after the GS series. Now it is a staple in free throw line extended/elbow isolations.
As for unguardable shots, Dirk's one legged fade and Kareem's skyhook are probably the two most unguardable. On both shots, you contest and hope they miss.

So? Sports Science doesn't talk about any player other than Nowitzki in that clip, does that mean we should therefore not talk about any other player? The OP clearly asks if "Dirks shot the most unguardable move in NBA history." So we're talking about moves and shots in NBA history.

MJ's fadeaway is also up there, wouldn't say it was as impossible to deal with as the skyhook but like Nowitzki's fade no one could block it.

Where's a good place to compare the percentage of jump shots blocked between players? You can look it up per player per season on 82games.com, but that's pretty slow going.
