Default Charles Oakley Rips the Knicks

On the organization's feelings about both he and all-time great Patrick Ewing: "[The Knicks] don't want nothing to do with me. I don't know why. I tried to deal with them on several occasions. I'm not gonna keep trying. They don't like Patrick, either. They won't give Patrick a job, so I know they won't give me a job. Patrick should have a job before anyone. He's probably the best guy since [Walt] Frazier, [Earl] Monroe ... he's the main guy on the list."

On Isiah Thomas: “I don’t understand how he even got a job with management. He had nothing to do with the Knicks, then he talked bad about the Knicks ... If I see him, he’d better turn around and go the other way.”

Damn Oak, ?

What's the matter with him? What ever happened to "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"?

Good looking out on the article.

I loved the fact that he protected Ewing on the court, and cared about the Knicks, but this shit he spewed is just straight hate, and anger laced.

Damn, he called Stat and Melo "all hype"

Even as much as I don't like D'antoni, overall he is wrong about him as well.

D'antoni's roster has been gutted every single year here, and that's alot to go through for on any coach, which is why the media gives him a pass.

This was his best part, and the only thing he got right.....

"On Isiah Thomas: I dont understand how he even got a job with management. He had nothing to do with the Knicks, then he talked bad about the Knicks ... If I see him, hed better turn around and go the other way.

BTW, I thought team officials couldn't talk about players while the lockout is going on?

He's still on the Bobcats bench right?

Oak being Oak. Gotta admit, if you had former Knicks running the show in the Garden, our chances may be a little bit better. But for Dolan and crew to keep resorting to wasted trash leftover by other teams is stupid beyond belief.

If they do win anything, which I sure hope they do, it will be on skill alone. The team is on the right track and can contend for the next 5 years, but they need to keep this talent and cultivate it. I just don't believe D'Antoni will ever be the right guy for the job.
