Wouldnt it possibly be best to throw the rookie showcase game and play as badly as possible...in order to fall to the second round? I know the second round is done too since 2k mentioned the realism of having the deputy commishioner(Silver) doing that round like real life.
Second round picks dont have 4 year contracts. Play 2 years be a star then sign your big deal for more money while first rounders are stuck for at least 1 more and one after that possibly before the big money.
My next myplayer...im getting all zeros on my statline and fouling out while playing no D at all.

I have a big point who plays in the post and midrange. I went like 11th because I had 29 in the showcase. but next time? Ugly statline. ugly. Gotta go the Boozer route and get 50 million after year 2.
I think there might be a few more. The quality is still pretty bad.
The creating a player system is actually something that still bothers me. Picking a college sucks(no love for canada) and is hard to navigate, and things like tattoos, hair, and facial structure are bad. i wish tattoos had a name like "Dolphin" rather than "Tattoo 50"
6'7 SF named Boomer Bonner. Three point specialist. I'm going to focus on shooting, especially because I got drafted by the Warriors. Will work on defense as well. Pretty happy to get picked 11th. Although in my interviews I was kinda a douche to Charlotte(unintentionally).
I like how My Player has all this new cool stuff. Gameplay wise, theres still no credit for running a play perfectly, or getting back on defense quickly. Its not my favorite in the first place.
I'm also a 3 point specialist SF. Going for Larry Bird mode. Got drafted 7th by Wizards. Gonna make a SG now and see how I like it. Athletic or slashing. Wanna try all styles and positions.
Leaning towards the Kobe model.
An atheltic 2 with post up and shooting. Cant see it being stopped, especially if I get contained on the drive I can just tap Y, take a post dribble and shoot a fadeaway.
I'm so addicted to My Player that I haven't tried any other modes! So my review of game will be delayed 1-2 weeks guys. I now made an athletic SF and love it! I had 3 vicious dunks on defenders in the rookie showcase. As a 3 point specialist it's easier to score.. but not as fun. Plus as a specialist you're SO slow and unathletic. Easier to get by without a shot than without any physical tools.
Made a 6'8" SF, with a point forward playing style, going for the Scottie Pippen build.
Had 10 pts, 9 boards, 8 assists in the rookie showcase, although I swear I could've had at least 12 assists if that big white guy on your team didn't miss so many layups
First interview was Milwaukee, and there's no way I wanna play with a chucker like Jennings so I was pretty much a total dick to them.
Second interview was Charlotte, no way I wanted to play for them either when their best player is probably Maggette so I was a dick to them too.
Third interview was Golden State, which would be a great place to play, so instead of being a dick to the GM I started kissing up to him, needless to say I now play for the Warriors
