some of those things you listed are just givens...

"ability to change play at LOS"

that is called an audible...we did that in Jr. High

"Can read defenses at the LOS"

that is why you call audibles

"Makes good reads"

more of the same...

might as well list "can throw a football"

Have you watched Andrew Luck much?

This guy is NFL ready. He's huge but still moble. He's got unbelievable arm strength. He's insanely smart AND he's already running a offense similar to what he's gonna run in the NFL.

Sure every QB prospect has a few of those things, but he has them all, and he has them better.

Now you're either dumb or just didn't understand what he was saying. All QB's can do that, some do it better, and even fewer do it great.

And also no... making good reads is not a given.

Reading the defense at the line of scrimmage is not the same thing as making reads after the snap.

this is fact is it?

I have watched one game plus highlights btw...which I am sure is more than most of the posters hyping this guy.

IMO he doesn't look better than Bradford his record breaking year...

He doesn't even look much better than Landry Jones

and before you say "HOMER HOMER"...the only reason I list Bradford and Jones is because I do watch thme every single week...If I had watched Jake Locker every week I might list him as well.

Well of course there's a learning curve. But his would allow him to be a serviceable QB while he takes his steps to being better. Not a lot of guys can say that.

And I've seen a bunch of his games. Local coverage gives me all the Stanford games.

But yes, you're right, you have seen more of those guys and that's why you single them out. It's the exact same thing the other way.

if he isn't Peyton Manning his first year...BUST

Peyton Manning in his first year threw for a lot of yards and TDs BUT he also threw the most picks for that season.

He also had a ton of playoff failures and was labeled an overrated choker by many in his first 5 to 7 years. He wasn't really MANNING until his 6th year when he got his first MVP which coincidentally was the first year he won a playoff game only to have one of his worst QB ratings ever the following week vs the Pats. It ended up taking him 9 seasons to win a Super Bowl.

and with how little you have seen Luck play its pretty strange of you to act like he isn't all that.

Andrew Luck would be too good for the NFL if he played at OU.

People hyped Reggie Bush up so much. Luck's hype is much more deserving than Reggie's ever was.

Anyone who watched reggie in college saw greatness... the hype was very valid.

I watched the Washington State game this past weekend since it was on versus (did anyone see those ugly ass jerseys?), the Duke game, and last year vs Wake Forest and Arizona. He's damn good.

i don't watch college fball so i don't know, but i agree the hype on this dude is ridiculous. i just assumed he was dominating college fball and always wondered what all the hype is based on. its not just here tho, commentators hype him like crazy. top QB prospect since Elway?

PT you say there is no sure thing in drafts, then go on to say the Raiders are retarded for trading for a very good QB in Carson Palmer by trading picks for him (risks you say, and I agree). Even Peyton Manning wasn't himself his rookie year, calm down bro.
