Default Going by the former CBA, does Indiana have enough $$ to sign David West ?

I've read a couple of articles and they indicate the pacers are interested in signing him. can they afford him ?

Yes. There really isn't any cap they could make that would actually make that not true because they have such a small amount of money committed.

If Paul George develops, it's a good idea. If the team stays as is, they won't be more than a 6th seed.

Yes. we have the second most cap space of anyone in the league. IDK about the exact amount though, but we have the resources to make a couple of bigger signings

And this is exactly the type of move that gets teams into trouble and lead them to end up blaming the "system" for it.

I dont think the Pacers should sign him. I mean, if they can get him on teh cheap, then I guess but I wouldn't go hard for him. West is a solid player, but he is still benefiting huge from playing with CP3. He is not the type of player that takes them to the next level.

I think the Pacers had a ton of expirers last year.

West joining Indiana would greatly benefit Roy Hibbert. But neither are dominant rebounders and that would be their biggest weakness. I like West, I think Indy would be a solid destination for him. If Hibbert continues to work the low block instead of taking jumpers like he was 2 yrs ago, West would give the Pacers that stretch 4 type that would make it very hard to double Roy down low.

Indy should also look into Afflalo. I really, really like the George Hill trade. Can Indiana become the Memphis Griz of the East?
