Default With Todays Trade Who is going #1?

So in somewhat addressing the center position with todays trade for Rasho,(yay no pryz) who do you think the raptors look to draft now regardless of trades down or not. The 3 I'm looking at are

1# Brandon Roy, seems to have a lot of the same press as one NBA Champ Wade a couple years ago does everything well and is a team guy.

2# Rudy Gay, looks like a McGrady/Marion athlete that could be a star especially with a couple of fellow UConn guys around to help out

3# Tie Aldridge/Bargnani, BC could be using Rasho in another deal or may want to ease the pressure on one of these 2 to learn the center spot for a couple years.

Come to think of it i actually think he might be using Rasho for some bait. That would be very interesting to see who he would go after if he was.

No idea who's going to be picked at #1... I think it'll be Morrison.

But one thing I'm damn sure of is that the Raptors will end up with Bargnani in some way.

i don't think rasho has much value for bait.
BC is probably just looking for a C, if we draft or sign one, rasho is a very capable backup.

My final 3 are Gay, Morrison, or Bargnani.

We are short on guards and swingmen, that's why I could see us picking up a Gay or Morrison.

Bargnani, only because BC seems to be so high on him.

We won't draft gay. There are countless 'can't miss,' ultra athletic guard types who come into the NBA and barely make a dent. It seems that BC is looking for somebody with something more than a 40 inch vertical.

Their shortlist is pretty much down to Aldridge (#1) if they pick Bargnani (#3) if they trade down, Marcus Williams (#4 or #5) if they trade down. This is how I see it. No that we have a centre I think they trade down and get Marcus Williams.

Say ATL Jsmooth and 5 for 1

PG - Marcus Williams/ukic/Calderon
SG - Mo Pete/Graham/Denham
SF - CV31/Jsmooth/FA
PF - Bosh/Humphries/Taj Gray
C- Rasho/Garbajosa/Sow

I hope they trade down or Brevin Knight and 3 for 1 and Alvin:

Brevin Knight /Calderon /Ukic
Mo pete/ Denham/FA
CV31/Graham/bobby Jones
Bosh/Bargnani/FA
Rasho/Garbajosa/Sow

Either way both teams are deeper.

Cool

BC has stated that the Rasho trade doesn't really affect the #1 pick in any significant way. Maybe that's just a smokescreen....who knows.

I still say it's between Bargnani and Aldridge.

But, if I had to pick a dark horse, I'd say Rudy Gay.
