This is still a team sport, and lets not forget that teh SF punt returner pretty much single handedly lost that game for the 9ers

Not to mention those two picks that should have been if SF defenders didn't collide into each other, or that crappy forward progress call for Bradshaw. Not that Eli wasn't great, but they were very lucky to get the W. I'll admit that I underrated Eli a ton after coming off a mediocre season last year, but he's still pretty firmly in the 2nd tier with Roethlisberger.

In terms of actual skills, no chance. But, Peyton homers ignore than the Colts underachieved most of the time in the playoffs. They lost several times with home field and/or having a better record than their opponent.

Yeah, the team underachieved in the playoffs. Peyton didn't. He's played very well for the past numerous post-seasons. He wasn't afforded the chance to play a below average game (Brady yesterday) and win. The last time Peyton played bad and we won was in our superbowl year. Even when Manning had a good game, lately, we still lose in the playoffs.

Eli is an average quarterback. Put him on an average team and no one would talk about him. Average career qb rating and throws a ton of picks. His isn't even as good as Matt Ryan much less Brady, Brees, etc.

He was awfully lucky he didn't have at least 2 interceptions in that game, and that Kyle Williams was the punt returner. Also, all he had to do last week was sit back and watch the Packers self destruct. It's also a shame that someone like Cruz got overlooked (no Pro Bowl, but Eli got in...).

So Eli is just a lucky QB. I follow the logic.

Pro Bowl = popularity contest, lots of Cruz's get overlooked. Dont worry Buck has his nuts embedded down his throat so he wont make sure no one in this country forgets him.

Yes, that stats do not lie. And it's funny a NE fan talks shit on the day after Brady sucks it up and wins only because his defense bails him out, a reality and not a made up situation from your mind.

The Packers self destructed don't you know.

You know i give you a lot of shit during the season being an evil Eagle fan but at least Eagles fans man up. A large % of the fans of other teams seem to be whiny little girls who refuse to give credit when their teams get beat.

No, you're right, Eli single-handedly won the Giants every single game and they'd be lucky to win a game without him. I'm just get tired of people giving QBs way, way too much credit whenever their team wins. Sure, there are times where the QB does a lot and deserves a lot of credit, but those 2 games weren't won due to Eli.

I agree with this point. It can be annoying.

However, dont worry one day the Skins will have a QB as good as Eli Manning, Mike Vick, Tony Romo and that QB will be given more credit than they deserve.
