Re: Vince Carter Olympics Dunks
It was awesome watching Vince Carter play in the NBA. It was often ten times cooler to watch him play in the Olympics. That is because you knew he'd be presented with numerous dunking opportunities during each game and you knew he wouldn't be quite as reluctant and/or tired to break out something insane on each attempt. The uncertainty surrounding what could happen at any moment with this guy was both addicting and fulfilling. I watched any preliminary Olympic game possible. That dunk at 3:10. I remember thinking I'd never seen a guy come so close to hitting his head on the rim in a live game.
The only thing I've hated all these years is that damn marching band soundtrack to the Olympic mix. Sure, I can dub in my own music by muting the video volume and turning on my itunes, but I like hearing the crowd response and commentary as well. I sort of wish there was an alternate version out there with better music.
