Shanny didn't really use a committee until his last couple years with the Broncos. I'm just saying he wasn't using a committee this season when Hightower was healthy. In the first 3 games he got 59 carries while the others got 16. He came back healthy for the Panthers game and got 17 carries while the others got just 3. It wouldn't have been a split with Hightower/Torain because Torain is rather inconsistent. Hell, calling him inconsistent is pretty generous. He's been awful (1.6 ypc...) ever since playing against the Rams' Godawful run defense. But anyways, I like Hightower/Helu.

The offense for WSH is absolutely putrid. They prolly should start over at all the skill positions. Helu and Davis are the only skill guys worth getting PT that were on the field today. Hank is worth more looks too but even he has a long way to go before being a go to guy.

It wouldn't be so bad if we could find a QB, but it doesn't seem like it's ever going to happen. It's frustrating watching other teams that actually have QBs while we go without one for years and years and years. Beck looks like he's regressing out there.

Or [insert Boise State bias] Kellen Moore. Just kidding, although someone should gamble on getting him in the 2nd or 3rd round.

The lesson learned, never say never.

Although to be fair, we were only halfway through the season so Luck or RG3 were not promised to us...and Peyton didn't have his third and fourth surgery until after November 5th, the time I made that post.

Great thread, really interesting looking at this a few years later.

Teams that need an overhaul in 2013 -

Jags - no explanation required.

Oakland - After run DMC, Terrelle mother****ing Pryor is probably their second best player (okay he is technically third after Reece). This team is scary bad.

Steelers - Many years of hard hits are catching up with the aging defense, offensive line needs reinforcements, uninspiring skill players (le'veon could help with that)

Eagles - They have some elite athletes, but the defense is horrendous, and Vick will not be able to handle a full season of punishment if he is running the read option 500 times a game for Chip Kelly.

Vikings - Overall a good roster, but Christian Ponder might be worse than Tim Tebow. If the Vikings had a better defensive secondary and a good quarterback, they would be a very good team.

Chargers - When was the last time the chargers had an exciting rookie? This team has done a terrible job of bringing in new talent the past few years. All of their "good" players are old men, the future is not exactly bright.

LOL, the Browns have never made a SuperBowl... I wonder if they ever will. Hell, I'm not even sure how many AFC championship games they've made (if any). First things first, get a legit franchise quarterback. When have they EVER had a franchise QB?

Like the guy ahead of me said they need a franchise QB and I think that's the case for most of the struggling teams. Who's choice was it to draft a 28 year old rookie in the first round? Imagine if they have drafted Tannehill?

In today's NFL I don't think any team in the league needs to rebuild unless if the team is composed of many aging and very expensive players.

I think alot of people will say the Jets because they are one of the less talented teams in the league but I think they are in a good position for the future since they've been slowly retooling/rebuilding their team over the past 2-3 years by bringing in more younger players in the draft. Another offseason where they address the offense and I think they'll be fine.
