Default Carter and T-Mac on OTR Thursday

Quote:
Vince Carter and Tracy McGrady will appear on TSN's 'Off The Record' on Thursday to discuss their tenure with the Raptors.

Charles Oakley, who was a teammate with Carter and McGrady, will be in studio with Michael Landsberg.

Carter was a member of the Raptors from 1998 until he was traded to the Nets in 2004.

McGrady was drafted with the ninth overall pick in 1997 and left for the Magic in 2000 in a sign-and-trade deal.

Half an hour won't be enough for these guys, especially with Oakley.

thanks.

pretty typical, they both dodged any questions of complicity in wrecking a great opportunity.

those days had some fun moments, though

that was good. I think i would retire number 15. And oak is right...as a franchise you can't just have players traded every few years here and there. The franchise needs some stability.

As of right now, i would retire AD, Oakley, christie, VC and Bosh.

bosh holds franchise records. dude was a total professional in his time here. he played hard every game. whatever wins we had during his time here are attributed to him only. its not his fault that this team was run by a piece of turd management. What bosh did after his tenure with the raptors is not related to retiring his number.

VC needs to be retired bcs he did in fact lead this franchise for a while. he brought this franchise name recognition. he was our first true leader and as a franchise we need to respect that.

in a few years once VC retires i suspect the raptors will retire his number. Bosh will be retired not now but when his career comes to a close as well.

Not even the HHOF would induct a Doug Christie level player.

Oakley (Knicks), VC(Nets), Bosh(Heat) and even Antonio Davis(Pacers) won't be remembered as Raptors players after their retirement. They aren't all-time NBA greats to see their number retired by a team where they didn't play at their prime or won a championship.
Christie is not good enough.

Calderon has played his entire NBA career for the Raptors. If he would have made the all-star team just once, he would be a sure bet. Anyway I'd choose him before any of the other five.
