Default Rip Hamilton starting SG, McGrady coming off the bench.

C: Noah, Asik
PF: Boozer, Gibson
SF: Deng, McGrady, Korver
SG: Hamilton, Brewer
PG: Rose, Watson

Let McGrady run point forward off the bench which would give Watson free reign to do what he does best (shoot).

Not a sexy mini-offseason but its as realistic as it gets.

If I had to rank the SGs I'd want on this team it'd be -

Afflalo
Thornton
JRich
Rip
Shannon Brown
Crawford
TMac

Rip is a very good player, maybe have the best "in between" game, very accurate from 15-19 feet but the Bulls IMO, badly needs a 3pt shooter who can space out the floor so Ill rather have either JRich or Jamaal Crawford.
I also like Shane Battier to back up Deng.

Looks like it could be between Rip and VC.

I personally like Rip because of his championship experience. VC is too injury prone.

I've read some articles and seen some talk from analysts saying that there's a very good chance of TMac being the one that the Bulls will choose to bring in for the SG spot.

I would much rather bring in a few other options and TMac would be pretty low on the list, but if that's the direction management chooses to go then I will find the positives about it because with what is going to be a very short offseason the Bulls will have to do the best they can to finish out putting this team together.

I really want Jason Richardson or Marcus Thornton at this point.

If TMac were to be brought in then I would prefer for it to be as Deng's backup and have Brewer or another free agent we'd bring in be the starting two guard.

I think it's important that we get a reliable backup for Deng because I don't want him playing as many heavy minutes as he did last year. Shane Battier has been mentioned and also Grant Hill I believe is available and would be a great addition.

I'd stay away from Rip.

Jason Richardson and Crawford are at the top of my free agency list. I almost think Crawford would fit the team better, but I've read he wants to go play for Portland.

Which opens the other option, Brandon Roy. I bet the Blazers cut ties with him since his contract is so huge and he's not used nearly enough to warrant such a huge contract. If we could get Roy for the right price, why not? We don't need him to be the Roy of a couple years ago, but someone who can manage an efficient 15 points per night and join into Thibs system, he would definitely be able to do that.

I also like Shannon Brown. And I wouldn't mind RIP, but drfinitely not a top option.

I don't think Jamal Crawford is an option. I think that what happened between him and the front office while he was here messed up any chance of a return.

Richard Hamilton could work, but he's not the complete shooting guard that we really need. It would be nice to have someone with his off the ball moving abilities though. Would add a nice dimension to our offense and he's someone that would be able to score efficiently without putting up a lot of shots.

Crawford is a complete shooting guard but Rip isn't?

I did mention positives on Rip's game as well as pointing out a bit about what he would be able to bring to us here, but to me no he isn's as complete as Crawford especially in some areas where we need help specifically 3 point shooting and ball handling both of which Crawford is better than Rip.

Jamal Crawford would be a nice addition if he could buy into the defensive system, play smart, and cut down on the bad decision making that leads to turnovers and forced shots, but he's cut down on this each and every league he's been in the league. In my opinion Crawford would be able to help us more than Rip, but like I said in an earlier post I'd be able to find good things about whichever guy the FO brings in for the SG position as long as it's an upgrade over Bogans. Even if Brewer ends up being the starter and then we add someone who can come in with the 2nd unit and help with the scoring load.

I'm surprised there hasn't been more rumors revolving around the Bulls and our Shooting Guard position.

Do you feel the same about Vince Carter? Or do you think he can contribute on our team? Maybe as the primary scorer off the bench?

Vince is serviceable but not really a great option. We need someone that isn't already set in their ways and can grow with Rose imo. But Vince would work for the short term I think.
