Default Free Agency/ Trade Predictions!!!!

Obviously using what we know of the new CBA.

Knicks:
-Sign Kwame Brown (lol) or Joel Pryzbilla or Troy Murphy to a one year MLE deal (reported that you can now sign one year MLE deals). This changes if either Haywood or Biedrins get amnestied and will take a one year deal.
-Re-sign Shawne and maybe Shelden Williams or Derrick Brown (unless some team gives him a big offer sheet)
-Sign Jason Kapono or Michael Redd. This changes if Lewis or Mike Miller get amnestied.

Try to trade Douglas for Robin Lopez or Jason Thompson or a decent big

New depth chart:

PG: Billups/ Shumpert/ Douglas
SG: Landry/ Shumpert/ Redd
SF: Melo/ Shawne/ Landry
PF: Amar'e/ Shawne/ Derrick Brown
C: Brown/ Turiaf/ Jerome J/ Harrellson (D-League?)

Whatever they do, they should NOT amnesty Balkman. At least not this year. I can't emphasize this enough. Save the amnesty and only use it on Balkman if it makes the difference in signing a guy in 2012.

Some other moves:

Amnesties/ Strech: Rashard Lewis, Brendan Haywood (if Chandler is re-signed), Baron Davis, Gilbert Arenas (not as much of given in as thought of though), Andris Biedrins, Richard Jefferson, RIP Hamilton, Brandon Roy (depends on if they sign Jamal), Al Harrington and Travis Outlaw.

FA Signings:
-JJ Barrea to the Lakers
-Jason Richardson to Chicago
-Caron Butler to the Clippers
-Jamal Crawford to Portland
-Marc Gasol to Minny (they'll overpay him to the point Memphis can't re-sign him)
-David West to Indiana
-Nene and Afflalo re-sign with Denver
-Vince Carter to New Orleans

Kings are going to have around 26 million in free agency (without using any amnesty) and they need to spend around 14-15 million to reach the spending floor. They'll resign Marcus Thornton, probably not Dalembert as Miami looks more enticing obviously. They'll have good money for vets or players to take on in trades.

They'll probably re-sign Thornton for around $5-6 million right? Then maybe they could add a good wing like Tayshaun Prince.

this won't be happening.

Thornton is going to get 7-9 mill from somebody. Dude averaged 21 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 3.5 apg and nearly 2 steals a game with the Kings.

They're overloaded at the SF position so they would have to unload somebody if they could to sign or trade for another SF. I wouldn't be surprised if they go for a center or another PG

We keep hearing that the "drop your highest salary clause" (which was rumored to be in the CBA) would allow the Cavs to drop Baron Davis. And then - because fate is against us - he would go to the Heat for a cheaper rate.

I hope not. I want to see B-Diddy for an entire year; he's entertaining.

I can see the Clippers picking him up if the price is right. Sure, the biggest hole is a defensive presence at the three, but Shard's height and ability to stretch the floor can be huge inbetween EJ and Blake

"Yes folks, that third bullet point is an amnesty equalizer. Instead of Michael Finley signing with a 50-plus win San Antonio Spurs team following the 2005 CBA, he would have to clear a modified waiver system in the new agreement. Why is this a HUGE deal? Well, all that talk of Baron Davis signing with the Miami Heat, might have just gone by the wayside. Rashard Lewis to the Lakers? Not if the Minnesota Timberwolves want to pony up a couple of bucks. According to this provision, players cannot just take their amnesty buy-out and run off to the nearest playoff contender to chase a ring, unless that contender has “Room under the Cap” or unless no one wants to throw out a meager bid." http://www.cowbellkingdom.com/2011/11/27/nbas-tentative-labor-agreement-available/?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaig n=Feed%3A+ckingdom+%28Cowbell+Kingdom%29&utm_conte nt=Google+Reader
