Pacers have huge salary cap space coming into 2011-12
The Pacers will be about $21 million under the salary cap. They’re more likely to make a trade then spend big bucks on a free agent.
The tricky area for all teams will be how quickly they can acquire players and get them into training camp so that they can be ready for the start of the regular season.
The Pacers obviously would like to add a couple of players, but they’re still in a better position than other teams. They’ll have 11 players under contract (that’s counting A.J. Price’s non-guaranteed contract) once the new CBA is signed.
