TheBynumProject has decent reputation
Default

What about going to the playoffs with Brad Johnson and then inexplicably inking Jeff George, who was completely washed up and lasted 1 season.

Giving Dieon Sanders a 10 millions signing bonus (he played one season for them)

Hiring Schottenhimer and then firing him after only 1 season

the Steve Spurrior fiasco

Drafting Patrick Ramsey to be the franchise QB. Not sure about Campbell either

Drafting Rod Gardner in the first round over Reggie Wayne, Chad Johnson etc.

-traded a third round pick to get Mark Brunell a month before the Jacksonville Jaguars would have made him a cap casualty

-traded Champ Bailey and a draft pick to get Clinton Portis. Portis is good but he's not that good.

Those are just three of the silly moves they have made since Joe Gibbs came back. There are more than a dozen more.

Looking at their past moves and taking into account their views on the draft don't put it past the Redskins to agree to swapping of first rounders.

True maybe i gave them too much credit.

But Portis for Champ was a good deal for both. Portis a top 5 RB in the game. He's that good.

So you think Champ Bailey (inarguable top 3 CB) and a second round pick for Clinton Portis (maybe a top 5 RB) is a good deal?!?

IMO the broncos should draft Calvin johnson or jarrret. Rod Smith ain't getting younger, and cutler plus johnson will be a deadly duo for years to come.

Yeah, Denver may have won the deal but i dont think Wash lost much. Both teams did each other a favor. One needed a CB and the other after bringing in Gibbs needed a proven/estalbished runner. I can knock the Deadskins for a lot of things but I've never felt that was a bad deal on thier part.

They over-compensated. They acted as though Denver was a waiter they needed to give a tip for their service.

I'm not a Bailey fan but the guy was at the time inarguably a top 3 CB while Portis was debatable top 5 RB. You then add in a the 9th pick of the second round going to Denver. First and Second round guys are starting caliber guys with the except of QB's who need "grooming"..

If Washington kept the pick they could have taken Tatum Bell, Julius Jones or Bob Sanders with that pick.

They basically gave up a top 3 CB and a productive starter to get Portis. Not the worse deal I've ever seen but it's certainly not good on Washington's part.
