Default Knicks PG options if they land Chandler.

What do you think they should pursue if this comes up?

Obvious options:
Toney Douglas, Iman Shumpert (already on the team).

CP3 for Amare has been discussed but I am going to just assume that will never happen.

Other ideas:
Jonny Flynn (swap Douglas for him if you have faith that he could get it done)
JJ Barea (MLE)
Sebastian Telfair (rumored to be signed elsewhere)
Ramon Sessions.
What about DJ Augustin? Bobcats have Kemba Walker now, so that could be a real option if the Bobcats have any interest in Turiaf.
Baron Davis or another PG that gets amnesty.
Carlos Arroyo.
Luke Ridnour.

What is Brandon Jennings trade value right now?

I'll pay PG for the minimum.

Arroyo would be a decent stopgap. He can push the ball.

Chandler sucks without a Kidd, CP3.

Toney Douglas?

DJ Augustine is a guy I'd like. Barea is an option now that we won't preserve 2012 cap space anymore. Neither would be ideal, but we could probably get away with either at PG for a year (and then sign Nash, Kidd or Miller in 2012).

JJ Barea at full MLE for 4 years is the best out of this bunch for the Knicks. He can provide some much needed speed and his jump shot is fairly solid.

Baron Davis would help Tyson Chandler average more points than he did with Kidd. Baron Davis is probably one of the best lob passers in the league.

As a Knick fan, I want B-Diddy. He'll suck on defense, but that's why we got Douglas and Shumpert.

Honestly, this Shumpert kid looks to be one of the most athletic guards in the league. What is he, 6'5? Put Fields on too. You now have one of the biggest teams in the league, with 2 twin towers, no guard under 6'5, and bully at SF. I mean the Knicks could really start winning games by just outworking and outmuscling teams, there's so much length on the team.

I think with the quality of players put around him, this Shumpert kid is in a similar situation that Rondo was. I like him. I'd try to work with him. Coaching still remains to be one of the biggest issues with the Knicks though, donno if D'Antoni could bring up Shumpert the way Doc did Rondo.

If they sign Grant Hill, then he will effectively be the point guard.

Hill-Shumpert-Anthony-Stoudemire-Chandler

That's the starting lineup.

Switch Shumpert and Hill. Shumpert would be their PG. Maybe Douglas.
