Nets given permission to talk to Dwight Howard?

Chris Mannix and Adrian Wojnarowski tweeted late Friday that, according to agent Dan Fegan, the Magic have given Dwight Howard permission to speak to three teams, one of them the Nets. But according to Sam Amick, Magic CEO Alex Martins denies that permission was given.

This comes just 12 hours after reports that the Magic might file a tampering complaint against the Nets for an alleged meeting with Howard on Thursday in Miami.

Both Howard and Billy King denied that meeting took place.

Fegan also tells Wojnarowski that Howard "did not attend a meeting with Nets officials" and Mannix that "reports of possible tampering are undeniably false." He says that he himself had permission to talk to teams.
