If we can't beat the moribund Rams, then we don't deserve the playoffs.

Also, I'm lovin' me some Philadelphia Eagles this week.

JEts got bad luck, they have three games against teams that even if they are out will play to kill them. Eagles are on a mission to just show they are not a bad team and end on a high note, Giants will want to kill them, and Dolphins want to kill them. For any other team, this would be three games, 2 against teams with no motivation.

Off to the Morehouse vs. Grambling game tonight....oh.....wait wrong progam....its really the Jaguars v. Falcons Thursday Night Game we'll be attending in person....sorry, programs looked the same (free tickets, no other excuse). I'll let ya'll know how Kerry Meier does on special teams....and whether Kroy Beerman gets to relieve the incomparable Ray Edwards tonight on a few plays. Can't wait to chat with the fans and hear about how Julio Jones is the greatest receiver in the history of the known world.....and that's why the Falcons gave up more picks than ever before for a WR......the words/phrases "dynamic", "athletic", "stretch the field", "playmaker", etc. will be heard over and over again..............at that point I might mention how many drops he has had this year......but quickly follow it up with "but, damn he does run a 4.1 forty you know". I'll lie and tell everyone I just listed him on my response to the "top five WRs" thread on ISH.......... Then I'll say "yeah, but that dude Wes Welker was in my top five too".....and I'll get these strange looks and some DWF will eventually say "Wes, who?".....should be fun.............you know.....the leading receiver in the NFL for the past five years........oh, never mind....Julio just dropped another one Back to the game....Morehouse....I mean Atlanta just scored.....

I'm pretty sure the Patriots (White Mafia) is his favorite team.

Northwinds is an entertaining guy if you ask me.

AFC- Patriots......but I'm liking me some Texans the last few years.....and you can't turn your head away from the Mile High Messiah, just for the pure drama

NFC- Packers.....used to be a Falcon fan during the Bartkowski era (saw a 20 something with a Bartkowski jersey tonight.....and the kid sitting behind me had on a Brady jersey.... )

Some great comments on the game coming up after I have had a chance to change and pour a nice stiff drink.....no beer sales after halftime at the Georgia Dome....

Well, for those who missed it we had a great game at the Georgia Dome tonight with the Jaguars losing to the Falcons 41-14.....that coming after Jacksonville beat the Bucs last week by a score of....you guessed it....41-14. You got to love the NFL!.... After seeing Blaine Gabbert in person, I'm not sure the Jaguars got the best of the 2010 class of QBs...... I think the Falcons sacked him about six times and Jacksonville had no offensive TD until their final drive in garbage time. I am pleased to report that Kroy Beerman got one of those sacks after being allowed to play a couple of downs. Kerry Meier did get to play on kick-offs and a little in garbage time with no targets..

Now for the social scene.....it was a completely racissss environment in the Dome....having lived most of my life in Atlanta I was "shocked...shocked" by this. For some reason, a majority of the black gentlemen in the Dome were adorned with jerseys bearing the #7.....meanwhile many of the European Americans had jerseys bearing the very same #2 that the current Falcons starting QB wears....while a good many of the younger Caucasians wore #11 jerseys.....and constantly yelled "Julio" into the night. I inquired of a black gentleman as to why he was wearing a #7 Atlanta jersey when no current Falcon wears that number. His explanation was that he was a Falcon fan, but a Mike Vick fan as well.....he stated that he had kids and wanted his kids to have a "black" QB to look up to and emulate....and that Mike Vick had been that inspiration for is kids (he didn't tell them about the whole dog killin' thing)......I told him that I liked Wes Welker for the very same reason....we agreed that we were both "raciss" and then he bought me a beer.....just before the end of halftime...thank God.......
