Default Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City

Releasing March 20, 2012

Here's some gameplay footage:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJny-0ATxqI

It takes place during the Resident Evil 2 and 3 time. I like how they work the cutscenes from those games into Operation Raccoon City.

This is a 100% buy for me. C'mon Thorpe you know you want it.

Reminds me a lot of dead space. I never got into the RE series personally, I'm a bit of a bitch when it comes to scary games, but I get the feeling that hardcore RE fans might be turned off by the style of this game. Seems like a lot less survival horror and more action/shooter.

The game was labeled as a tactical shooter on it's initial media release.

I'm very interested in it's time frame and location. Back in Raccoon City during that initial outbreak, which is when I fell for the games. And I'm also intrigued by the story angle. You're allegedly the leader of a Special Ops team under the employ of Umbrella who's been assigned to contain the outbreak, and destroy the evidence of it.

However, the idea of playing a Resident Evil version of a tactical shooter seems like it's really going to bother me.

It's hard for me to say this, but I'm going to wait to see some reviews.

Honestly I'm okay with a more action focused game. 5 was more action/less puzzles and it was my favorite resident evil ever. As long as they remain creepy/scary it's cool. Would be dope if you could have a full time partner/squad IMO though it would be less scary.

I like this. I'm not a fan of RE because I think I played the last one and it sucked. I might like this one and I know my friend might buy it so I'll cop it off him when he's done.
