Why does everyone wanna send Fields to the bench? Why not Douglas? at least when Fields is shooting poorly, he's helping in other areas. Douglas is known for one main thing...defense. However, when we play against the big name guys, he folds. He was getting killed in the playoffs by Rondo.
I have one problem with getting Baron, and it has nothing to do with his play or his health. I know you have to be PR conscious at all times. But didn't D'Antoni tell the media and fans that he has the utmost confidence in Toney Douglas as starting PG? To me getting Baron Davis (and being rumored to be targeting Gilbert Arenas) contradicts not only your statement about Toney but your faith in Bibby as well. Pretty much, your saying they suck without admitting you've made a mistake. That said, this is the perfect time to trade Douglas, while he has what little value he does.
