Default oberto riding the pine

since dec 10th oberto has only topped 20 mins pt twice! he was playing well prior to that. any clues as to why pop has him on the bench? with elson & butler down i was really hoping that he'd be getting some more minutes.

Default .

some of has to do with player matchups but alot of it has to do with fouls. oberto is a wild horse and he tends to pick up ticky tack fouls early and has to sit and that limits his playing time. tim duncan is then forced to play center with robert horry or bonner playing PF. this is why we are seeing a hike in bonner's minutes as of late.
