I'm pretty sure Clyde calls it "timely stops". I took that from him.

I'm talking about getting stops late in the game, when you need them.

When you need time = timely
Stops= stops

= timely stops

My bad then.
I don't understand what you mean by "stops", then :)

(In Italian a "stop" is a block, I thought you had a similar terminology.)

Stop is preventing other team from scoring baskets.

For example,if other team has the possession and you force a turnover it's still a stop because they didn't score.

Stop = preventing other team from scoring baskets, either by forcing a turnover, contesting shots or blocking them

Block = preventing other team from scoring baskets only by blocking shots

That's the way I see it.
But this is total off-topic

Why cant fields go back to playing like he did the first half of last yr? I really think he needs to see a shrink, he plays like he is thinking too much.

I don't think problem is in Fields. It's our system.

Last season we played fast with a lot of ball movement.
That allowed Landry to shoot many open threes and he knocked them down with a good success. More fast break opportunities means more easy ways to score.
Because of good spacing and ball movement Fields got a lot of opportunities by doing the thing he excels at,cutting to the basket.

Now we also have great rebounders in Melo and Tyson which means less rebounds for Fields.

I will put it in a few words: Because of the different system Fields doesn't have opportunities to use the things he's best at. Less ball movement means less open three pointers. Slower pace means less easy fast break points and having great rebounders in Melo and Tyson lowers his rebounding average.
